Hi guys,
Just wandering, are you absolutely sure it's the nic?
I've been vaping for a few months now and started with "high" juice, dropped it right away for the headaches and rising heart-bit, then used the 11mg, same result, dropped it. Now I'm using 0mg but the headache and palpitations never go away 100%, so I just don't breathe the stuff. Still better than analogue smoking thought, but have to be careful how I vape and this is with 0mg stuff from Johnson Creek (I assume this is not a risky china made product).
Any thoughts?
Cheers from Mexico.

Hi Bob,
Thank you for the reply, I'm already using non-PG. It's really no big deal, I started vaping to quit smoking, that's already happened and If I'm using 0mg juice, well it's clear I don't need nicotine anymore...
Just curious about the reaction, we assume the nicotine is to blame, but not in my case.
Cheers from Mexico

Some people do have a bad reaction to inhaling propylene glycol. JC offers non-PG liquids. Try those and see if your symptoms disappear.

I think it's very unfair to link Chinese manufacturers with bad practices. They're the only ones with any credible toxicology tests at the moment and nicotine levels in Wicked (from China) have been double checked.

It's not just the Chinese who are unregulated by authorities.

With the Chinese track record, that is a rather bold statement.

But you are correct that they are not the only unregulated source of things on the planet.

Going on faith these days is a pure crap shoot...

I'm not assuming that it's the nicotine, I know it's the nicotine. I have varying amounts of nicotine in e-juices, from 0 to 24, and it's not happening with any other of my stuff. In fact most of the time I don't even look to see what the strength is, they're all in a drawer. But this bottle in particular, I couldn't wait to use it, and I know that's the one that was making me feel that nicotine overload. And I have some PG, some VG and some both.
I contacted the seller, and I'm sure he'll take care of it. I've always had excellent service and products from them.

I had started this thread ONLY to find out if it happens to other people here. That's all, not anything else.

I have bought 36mg eliquids from TW made in china. Initially I have tried to mix it up with 60% glycerin and didn't felt nicotine at all like I get it from Marlboro ultra lights cig. Once I started vaping 36 mg, I feel like I got kick after 4 puffs. That is it, I started to vape 36mg directly without cutting with glycerin but reduced the number of puffs to 4 or 5. Now I feel lot better and I don't even feel like vaping with coffee in the morning which I used to feel when I smoke analogs.

Anything taken in moderation is good. I learned that in the first few days of vaping. Don't use USB passthrough, you will vape like crazy and you don't even know about it and don't take 16 puffs when you vape 36mg thinking it is equivalent to one analog.

This is from my personnel experinence and no two people are alike. As kate and other experinced vapor told in the forum that listen to your body. Don't overdo it.

I have been vaping medium nicotine content. I received a bottle of e-juice today that was marked 11 mg nicotine. But it's making my head buzz and my heart feel like it's racing, like maybe alot higher nic than stated. Has anyone else had that happen?

Hi I have pretty much the same reactions as you do. With samples of kick juice and johnson creek. maybe it is just the way some of us react differently to nicotine. I am still looking for different types of juice I heard e smokey treats has some real good tasting nic juice. I have found of a sample of peach from kick doesnt give me the bad headache and my heart racing as the others. Maybe we should just go to zero nicotine and add vg or pg and flavoring. Of course then we would get no nicotine fix. but maybe the good taste would compensate along with the good vaps I dont know but if anybody has any ideas I like you would like to know also. Hope everything works out for you, Take care

For what it's worth, as smokers and former smokers I think it should be evident to us that Philip Morris, RJ Reynolds and the others aren't exactly rigorous about their batch testing either. I'm sure we've all experienced packs of cigarettes that are FAR stronger than average. I know I certainly have. I've also come across individual cigarettes that seem to be absolutely soaked with nicotine. By the same token, I've had packs that seem like they hardly have any nicotine in them at all. So, pointing out the inconsistencies in nic juice isn't particularly helpful. It would be nice to have tight quality control on this stuff, but in its absence, the best thing to do is let the vendor you got it from know and see if you can get a replacement bottle. At least we have the luxury of doing that with e-cigarettes. If you tried to take a pack of Camels back to the 7/11 or Tesco or whatever because they seemed too strong, they'd laugh you out of the shop.

You forgot to mention putting it in a double locked fire proof safe!

Seriously had a cup of strong black coffee the other day. Made me feel a bit jittery and nervous (true story, don't drink much coffee). Reckon I should send that to the fda to make sure it was only coffee that I was consuming? Your fear-mongering is out of control in my opinion. Newbies (which you are) shouldn't be told to send items to the fda, or rush to the hospital your dying! If you would read the forum a little you would see where other people have ask about the same things (headaches, heart racing, ect) and they are all still with us today. Trust me I am sure this person is okay and still alive. I'm not saying this isn't signs of too much nic, but no need to go to the extremes posted here. For the people with fears remember over 2 years of e-cig use has netted zero deaths and very few side effects. 1 year of analog use will net you around 400,000 deaths. (yeah ecigs are new, yada, yada, yada)

Again, I think that sellers should be a bit more responsible with labeling, ect., but fear-mongering statements like this will never help our cause!

To the OP, it could be entirely the case that your bottle was mis-labeled. I would sit the bottle to the side and maybe ask the supplier for your money back or swap for another bottle.

Btw - I have had mild nic od myself. Same effects mentioned (took in too much 36mg at one sitting). I am fine and now make sure to not vape as much if I use 36mg. Regardless, it still wasn't as bad as the first analog I smoked. I can remember almost turning green over that. :)

Every time I would light up an analog cigarette my heart rate would go up by ten beats per minute. It was the carbon monoxide.
Since I picked up the e-cig this week my heart rate has slowed way down.
I need to see my cardiologist to see about getting off of my beta blockers. I was taking them for PVC's that I experience, but now that I am not smoking carbon monoxide anymore my heart rate is so slow. My resting rate today (sitting on sofa) while I was viping was 54 beats per minute I am 45 years old.
It used to be 84 beats per minute in the evening and now it is 72 and I just ate a full meal and my heart rate is up from digesting.

So, analog cigs are far worse for your heart rate no doubt unless you manage to take in to much juice I guess.
