What is the biggest difference between the bases of Nicotine? I see that most Nicotine's come pre-mixed with a base, PG vs VG. If you like throat hit does that mean you would go for the PG base NIC?

Whatever works best for you. If you like high PG juice, get pg nic. If you go high VG, then get vg nic. If you go 50/50 then perhaps 50/50 nic will work for you.

I ended up stocking up on 100% VG nic as PG dehydrates me to no end, so I have been dropping PG levels as much as I can. VG nic is thick and a bit harder to work with than PG nic which is thin, but I have no choice here. :)

Another approach, that does not always work for some PG/VG ratios and nic concentrations, is to get the nic in whatever you use less of and only buy the other separately. For example, if I vape 30 mg/ml and was shooting for a 30PG/70VG mix, I can just mix 3 ml of 100 mg/ml PG nic base with 7 ml of VG. But that does give you a lot less flexibility, so I don't usually recommend it for beginners. The only real advantage is just having one less bottle to draw from.

When making test mixes I will often make my base in bulk and compensate by building in a 10% flavor compensation. This is a good way to speed things up when your making lets say 10 test samples at once. It allows me to not have to keep remaking the base for each sample I just pour out the right amount or premade base and add flavor. But when it come time to make my large batches or final mixes I always calculate the exact measurements for the base.
