Very interested to hear you share your nicotine reduction strategies... I know several people aspire to get to zero but can't, myself included.

my goal is to get to zero without changing my vape habits, knocking it down by a few mg's when my body tells me to (usually months and months between drops). sad to say, eventually I'll quit vaping too.

I know I don't need a Reo attached to my hand all day every day - can go hours without vaping now! that is an accomplishment in itself!

I smoked Kools for 32 years 1.5 PAD. Before vaping I always did the patch when flying, It didn't cure the urge but kept me from loosing it. When I tried quitting I could wear a 21mg patch and still smoke. Now a small stealth hit and hold in the john keeps me going, I fly enough to be Gold for life on American.

When I started vaping I needed 36mg juice, the first year I slowly worked my way down to 18mg and stayed there for a few years. When I moved to Reos I was able to drop to 15mg, I kept trying 12 but ended back up at 18mg.

I'm not really worried about the effect of nicotine, those are well known, I do wonder about the long term effects of coating my lungs with PG and VG though.

So I have a bottle of 18mg frenilla from many moons ago and this thread combined with an urge to try mixing some with wakonda led me to load it up in the KF today. Holy moly! It's obviously been a long time since I had 18 - I feel like my mouth is on fire. Crazy how much things change in a short time.

I accidentally grabbed a 9mg mixed bottle instead of a 3mg the other day. By the time I realized my error, I was very ill to my stomach.

That's what happens to me if I hit 12 mg too long. I now mix 12 with 6 for those extra nic kic times like today moving the data center. I took 3 mods, an extra bottle of juice and an extra battery. It was overkill but a stressful day I knew was coming up. So far so good.

The Reo helped me lower my nic level pretty easily to 6 but would love to start going down after the first of the year.

Nothing sad about quitting vaping... I've said from the beginning that I sincerely hope to lose every one of you as "customers", eventually... You'll always be family though! Vaping is an expensive habit, you could be spending that dough on Jerry Lewis collectible dolls or something fun.

but.. but.. I don't wanna go! *sniff*

it has been expensive.. counting everything since I started April 2011, I just "broke even" this past August! didn't help that I still smoked until early last year.. couple few hundred worth of equipment, supplies and liquids on hand... it's been an incredible journey, love you all, and glad it ain't over yet!

This may sound ignorant and selfish, but I don't ever plan on quitting vaping at all, especially for the next few years. I get comfort by the whole experience. I like the picking up the device and putting it to my lips (oral fixation), the inhalation which initially brings in the flavor of the juice, the filling of my lungs and the sweetness of the juice while exhaling. I love looking at the clouds it produces. I just love the whole experience of vaping and it comforts me, but I have an addictive personality.

Am I the only one that finds comfort in vaping, and just not the nicotine fix? Maybe that's why Nicoticket makes no nicotine juice. Don't know. I just find the whole process relaxing.

there are definite advantages to vaping Dani! I'm sure we all vape for the reasons you mentioned- I know I do!

who knows what the future holds.. we all have our own reasons and goals.. I just know the day will come that I list all my shiz in the classies and quit vaping- not forcing it, will happen when it happens- but it will happen, for me, some time, but absolutely not now!

I find myself craving the flavor, not the nic. The eliquids I crave for flavor are now 0mg and I am not noticing any nic cravings when I vape those.

I am so proud of you, though. Really. I wish I could be like that, for real. I've just found something that I can do that relaxes me. I have issues with finding healthy ways to cope, and this is the least dangerous one I've found. I wish I could enjoy massages and things like that, but I don't find comfort from that. I'm just an oddball!!!

thanks! you'll get there if you want to.. after 3+ years, I just came to this epiphany over Thanksgiving!

just roll with it.. no rush.. and as you relax more and get healthier, you might find other ways to cope and get what you need.

Penguiness, if you feel uncomfortable with me asking you this question, please don't answer because I don't want to invade your privacy at all.

Do you think you'll ever stop vaping?

Maybe, I don't know. At this point I say "No" because vaping tasty desserts is the only way I can have any. We will see what time tells.

That's right. I remember you saying something about your BS one time. I'm glad you can still have your desserts to help with the cravings of not being able to consume the actual calories and sugar. :)

I love vaping! I'm trying to diet so the desert vapes help with my cravings. I will probably vape forever. I'm comfortable at 3mg but have to get 6mg most of the time because that's what most companies offer. Anything higher than 6 makes my head spin. The first day I started dripping, I chain vaped for too long and got extremely sick. Extremely.

Yes! I was sick, too, after dripping 24mg that day. I got my nicotine fix really fast. Too fast. But it worked, and taught me a lesson at the same time!!!
