I always drain mine thread side UP.
@ DrkLashes - I went to Rite Aid and bought a "Noodle" that is normally used in a swimming pool. I cut it into sections and have a few tucked away. They will fit in most coffee cups and there is a hole down the center. Works great for holding an 801 mouthpiece down and keeps all draining down the center instead of down one side.
I currently take my atty and cart off and leave the atty to drain overnight. I also set up my carts and top them off before I turn in for the night. Then in the morning I check the carts and see if they can hold any more fluid. I lay everything out on a papertowel on the bathroom counter. Makes it real easy to get up, go to the bathroom, have a vape and get ready for the day.
Excess liquid accumulates at the bottom, the element of the atomizer. Why turn it upside down and make the liquid travel twice as far?
