Nightly reset?

I'm unable to post this in the correct forum.

Is there a nightly reset of the ECF forums? 3 nights in a row now, around 10:15 PM CST, the forums die. I just want to make sure it's not me.

You can move this to the appropriate forum as needed.

They are working on fixing the problem....have patience. They are trying to do something with the server to handle all of us.

yay its back. The first time I looked up this forum it happened to be "Server maintenance" And I thought you guys had shut down. I was so disappointed. But then on a whim I clicked the link again a day or two later, and the rest is history.

Hairball's correct. The forum is going through some growing pains...for now if you can't get on just keep trying. It will hopefully be stabilized soon.

Last count, there were over 54,000 members. The number has doubled every year. Hardware, configuration, and capacity is suffering from the growth. We can all help the progress by becoming supporting members. It's $24 a year (only $2 a month) and will help top ensure that the board has funds to expand.

Rolygate also said that part of the problem was a systems administrator who left for a job with a large company. He was the guy who knew how to maintain the system for best data flow. Things go downhill quickly if traffic is not being managed efficiently.
