UP! Always up! You're flirting with disaster Putting your batteries in reversed polarity. It's infinitely easier to hard short like that. In proper configuration, your whole mod is the ground, and the atty is positive. You reverse that, and every part of your mod is positive, except for the atty. You get the slightest defect in your battery wrap, and you've got positive on negative in the battery. Bad freakin' mojo man...

in theory you are correct, but this doesnt take into account bottom button mods where there is no break in conductivity of the body. if the nipple is against the pos pole of the atty and the battery cover rips (the battery case is neg) the mod will become a complete circuit and fire anyways, no button press needed. if the battery is in neg up and the case rips the body will also be neg and no circuit will form unless you press the button.

all i have are top side button mods so the pos is always broken and batteries go in nipple up.

8-o

You guys are scaring me!

Someone told me it's better to go nipple down because there is more contact with the pin that way.

Flipping it upright now!

Negative against the spring every time.

Hmmm, people get into vaping and forget that they have ever put a battery in anything before? In what household device does the pos go by a spring? Silly!

In terms of some mechanicals, what household device has a bottom tension activated button?
