I just got my Nitecore Intellicharger i2 off ebay and I was told that I can check the authenticity of it by placing a magnet on the metal surface of the battery positive pole contact points as well as the railings in the slots. The authentic would not stick because the contact point and railing are made from pure copper where the fakes would stick because they are made from iron. Now when I place a magnet on the positive contact point it does not stick, but when I place it on the contact point for the negative pole it sticks to that. So could that be an indicator that it is fake? I just got some new sony vtc 4s and I dont want to charge them in a fake charger so Im trying to be cautious. The charger feels a bit cheap too which has me worried. It did however have an authentication code of which I entered into the validation page and it did say it was legitimate but I'm not sure if that is the deciding factor of determining whether it is fake or not. I just have this odd feeling that it might not be.
