Hahaha. I like that turtle. I need to get more relaxed like that dog. And yeah, ur right about the .3 but I just like the look of mechs. Oh well

I ONLY use mechs.... I don't trust technology to keep me safe, I prefer to keep myself safe. I don't go crashing into stuff with my car, just because it has airbags and seat-belts. Just because it can go over 150 MPH, does mean I need to, all the time.

I am new to this but I think its great that battery safety is being thought of. They may not be responsible should something happen but at least the manufacturers and designers are adding it to the equation.

Nothing is fool proof; that's why something would be called that, if it ever existed :)

I just don't think we should depend on those designer and manufacturers or governments to keep us safe. Then theres the main reason those MFGs and designers do the safety part anyway.. To protect, THEMSELVES. Sure it makes us happy, but it really still comes down to their bank statement.

As you reckon ... 1 in a million chance. Folks play lotteries with odds way longer than that...

There's no absolute 100.00000 % . It's all about tweaking odds. And AFAIK, the cases where vapers came to harm were largely due to them leaning on their respective guardian angels a tad too hard.
Batteries, mods etc, all from trusted and reputable sources and you'll be fine. Odds that you get run over while crossing a street are higher. Didn't stop ya, or do you have your computer n urself under the bed ? ;)

I understand what you are saying completely but someone adding safety features is a marketing plus. Its also a risk on their part should they fail; so I think they are trying to make damn sure they get it right. Just my opinion though.

So you are building coils and vaping on a 150 watt device but afraid of it exploding.... get a nice subox mini kit with some stock coils ... on second thought get an acrylic tank... the glass could break and sever your jugular vein... See where I am going here?

You are using a regulated device with good batteries and sensible coils... stop worrying!

Zutank if you've bought your gear from myepack you can relax on the authenticity front they and your gear are legit and if you ever have concerns drop them a mail Ash is a fantastic guy and will help if he can. As to your gear worries with the regulated mods you have and battery's your using you are fine they are both decent quality and your using them well within their limits not something you should overly worry about. As for the mech mod and this is personal to you I'd stop using it as most horror stories you see lately tend to involve mechs and given you are very cautious and susceptible to bad articles it's the one that will play on your mind most and most of the vaping enjoyment disappears if your constantly worried about your gear. If you can get past the concerns the mech will be fine I love mine though I'll admit it's not getting as much love as it did but very satisfying with the right build, maybe use it for higher ohm builds to reduce your worry that way once you nail it mech will give a very good vape.

My eleaf 30 watt just started to auto fire last night. Can't believe it. I loved that device. I'd heard all the cautions and tales of some of the eleaf 50 watt having an auto fire issue which could be caused by juice leaking into the circuitry. I didn't think it would happen to me and I didn't expect it to happen on my 30 watt eleaf device. It also happened after I switched it off! I turned the device off and connected the atomizer to see if it would happen while the device was off and sure enough, it starts to fire on its own while the device was off!

Luckily I was at home and had the device in my hand when it started to happen. What could have happened if I wasn't home or sleeping and the device auto fired?

Ultimately we, the user, are the most important safeguard. Many mishaps and accidents happen because of user error, laziness or inexperience. My blame for my eleaf auto-firing was not keeping the juice well clean and letting drippers sit there for days on end when I wasn't using it with juice leaking onto the device.

I think the bigger dangers in Vaping don't occur when we stick a drip tip in our mouth to Vape but when we are not even home or using the device. Fires can be caused when charging batteries and, as I experienced personally, some devices can auto fire.

Been using mods for 11 months now. I'm still worried about these fear mongering articles where guys (usually due to their own mistakes) have big problems. I use authentic (I think) Samsung 25rs and Sony VTC 4s from Myepack (i'm from the UK). The company has been recommended on here a few times. I use an intellicharger D4 bought from Nitecore. I use a sigelei 150 and 75 mostly with an authentic troll rda or clone kayfun. I build quite high usually to avoid stressing my batteries at all. I occasionally build .3 coils and run them on my mech. It worries me to push the 25r to 15 Amps when it is capable of 20A. I am worried about getting a faulty battery. I know it is a 1/1000000 chance. Any recommendations or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

All I can really say that might put you at ease is that in years of working with coils and batteries and mods I've never had a battery failure. The closest I've come was putting an 18650 in my pocket with my car keys. This was quite a stupid thing to do as the heat from my keys on my leg indicated. Otherwise I've never had any incidents.

Many things people do every day are just as dangerous. If you've ever deep fried a turkey, messed with the circuit breaker in your house, had the hood up on the car with the engine running, gotten pulled over by the cops... You're exposing yourself to similar kinds of risks at least statistically speaking.
