Hello all,

I was always using xstar products to charge my batteries and recently stumbled on a Nitecore Intellicharger i2, at a local B&M, it has performed wonderfully, charges the batteries quick and efficiently, no overcharges or any other issues for that matter, with regards to performance. However, last night I couldn't fall asleep and decided that whilst I do some work I'll charge up the batteries and noticed something that, to me at least, was a little odd. The charger is emitting a certain sound, sort of like TV's white noise, just much quieter, it can't be heard unless it is very quite all around or I put it near my ear. It does it with and without a battery it seems.

My question then, has any owners of the same charger have that happening? Is it normal? Or is mine faulty and I should go and have it replaced?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have the i4 and have noticed the same noise but it has to be very quiet. Electronics by the nature of their design make noise and most likely what your hearing in the frequency of the chip which is taking 110v AC current and converting it to 4.2v DC current. A lot of VV/VW mods make these same sounds and has been discussed at great lengths in other threads.

For me the device is working as advertised and as long as it does what it's supposed to I'm not going to worry.
