Been reading alot. Not sure if this should be posted here or in the health or news section. May need a chemist to answer but.
It seems to me that the largest group of opponents to vaping bring up Tobacco Specific Nitrosamines.
Given the amount of nitrosamines in e-juice (0.00126% of a cigarette, lower than 4 pieces of nic gum and equal to nic patches) I don't understand the objection.
Further, I do understand the food we eat contains a tremendous amount of nitrates that our stomachs convert to nitrosamines. Leafy green vegetables are very high in nitrates that converts on some level to nitrosamines in our stomachs. They tell us to eat all we can hold.
For example - Fennel, Spinach, celery all have over 1000 mg of nitrate. Thinking that would convert to a measurable level of nitrosomines in our stomachs???
What is the difference if the nitrosamines come from food or tobacco extracts in e-juice?
Are all nitrosamines created equal?
Or has some of the research I am reading leading my down a crazy path?
Sorry for the ramble, long day.
