Hi Gang:

As some of you may know, I've become friends with Jim of njoy, and he has permitted me to "leak" out the latest, greatest, and bestest!!! njoy has a new e-cigarette called the NPRO, which I have beta-tested for him. It is super-duper powerful and is the size of a mini cigarette, not the pen-style. I will tell you later on in this post all about it and how you can get your hands on one.

Now the biggest news of all. njoy has finally hit the retail stores in the USA. You can now purchase Njoy online at Target Stores, which is one of the largest department-store chains in the U.S. Welcome to Target. For now, it's the same price as what it is selling for on Njoy's Web site, but keep watching Target.com, because I think the prices are going to fall.

Target executives chose Njoy out of all the brands out there because, as many of you know, it's a superior product and customer service cannot be beaten, and this is the kind of product/company we want to introduce to the world and bring into the limelight in order to standardize its use and acceptance.

Currently, Jim is in Minnesota, USA, at a two-day meeting with the Target Stores big-wigs, negotiating a deal to carry the Njoy brand on-site at all the Target Stores, not just online. This could be huge and will help bring this e-cigarette phenomenon to the forefront to benefit consumers across the nation and eventually worldwide, and what will then follow is more money for better technology, more competition, and lower prices!!!

Now, as for the NPRO. WOW!!! It looks like a regular-sized cigarette. It has two parts. The atomizer is permanently connected to the battery. The cap contains a tiny half-inch cartridge. The NPRO is very lightweight. You can hold it like a regular cigarette. The light at the tip is red when activated.

I received my NPRO on Monday and have been using it exclusively ever since. I inserted a high-nicotine cartridge. My first puff was so strong that I let out a little cough, but at the same time, I received a good nicotine hit and felt it big-time at the back of my throat. The steam is very dense. I experimented with different types of dragging to see which was best for me. If I dragged long and hard, I received more steam and a harder hit. If I dragged long and softly, I got a milder hit.

The battery is unlike any I've ever seen. The top part is recessed and the screw is in the cap instead of on the battery. It is a very long-lasting battery, depending on how you puff and how often you puff. Probably lasts longer than my other ones, though I've never really timed it out. It comes with two batteries, so I put one in the charger before I go to bed.

I love smoking this new NPRO. When I'm driving, I can hold it and smoke it like a regular cigarette and not worry about looking silly like when I am smoking my "pen." It consistently blows out good steam, hour after hour and day after day. The amount of steam that comes out is copious!!!

Now for the drawbacks -- at least in my opinion. Since the fiber in the cartridge is so tiny, it doesn't last as long as the pen-style cartridges. So I drip in order to maintain the delivery of my strong nicotine "hits." I do this several times per day. In fact, since Monday, I am still using the same cartridge since I drip onto the atomizer itself and sometimes into the cartridge when it gets dry. Another slight drawback is that it's not exactly whisper quiet, silent operation if you are a deep dragger like I am, but I think that's pretty common on some of the mini e-cigarettes. Then the last drawback is that the cap is kind of hard to remove until you get the hang of it. You have to twist counterclockwise while lifting. I can now remove it quickly, but it did take practice and usage before I broke it in and it wasn't so tight anymore.

The price for the NPRO kit is the same as for the pen-style kit. The NPRO will not be up on Njoy's Web site for another two weeks, but if you really want to get your hands on it now, go ahead and place your order for a pen-style. Once you get your Order No., respond to Jim that you would like to change the order to an NPRO. If you use the coupon code Smokey (case-sensitive), you will get 20% off, as usual. And, yes, parts are still warrantied for one year!!!!

Tomorrow Jim is going to the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City to meet with Donald Trump’s group. There is a huge PRIVATE event taking place Saturday and Sunday (invitation only for the world’s top 400 -500 gamblers), and NJOY has a special invitation!!! This means more exposure with influential people from around the world, perhaps some of whom may have an interest in becoming investors. Who knows!

If anyone orders the NPRO, please share your thoughts about it, and I will pass them along to Jim. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I'd be happy to help in any way that I can. If I don't have the answers, I will ask Jim.

Again, I am not affiliated with or in any way financially vested in the company NJOY. I merely like spreading the good (exciting) news.

To be perfectly honest, i have mixed feelings about the Target thing, especially if they go to retail stores.

TB will completely understand what i am talking about.

The other issue i have is pricing. Not on the actual unit, but on the carts.

Other question i have is, who is going to handle the plethora of RMA's? would that be through Target or NJoy? These things are not ready for the mainstream yet and i fear it could kill the potential user base.

Just my opinion.

Hi Marian

Dr Jim posted some photos recently of an NJOY Pro as above. Is this the one you have, as the atomiser is not permanently attached to the battery as you describe?

I would suppose that returns, or refunds, or replacements on malfunctioning parts will not be easy or fast from this point forward. I think a lot of people are going to buy this to try it out and then figure it's not worth the money and never buy another one. I don't think it's going to last long. As soon as they hit the big market, customer service is going down the drain really fast. Target won't be able to keep up with the returns and refunds. And they're sure not going to do replacements no questions asked. Besides, who wants to run to Target every week at the rate these things malfunction. I hate going to Target.

I think my wife is going to kill me. I told her e-cigs would save money but I keep seeing another 'gimme'.

My Sedansa Nano2 is a bit like this one and I really like it, but it has the drawbacks you list (Battery life is also an issue).

I tell you what, though. The most interesting bit of your post is Jim visiting a casino event. Organised gambling is being killed off here in the UK by the smoking ban. Let's face it - couple of grand down, wheel spinning, and no ...? Inconceivable!

The Las Vegas / Atlantic City cartels could be the corporate scale muscle we need to force acceptance...

Actually the npro looks exactly like my smartfixx mini. I'll be interested to see if it works any better.

Thanks again for the tip. I just ordered and exchanged so hopefully I'll have the npro next week.

Oh and the coupon code didn't work so I told them about that in the email when I wrote to exchange the order for an npro. Hope they get the discount this time!

So njoy now has an e-cig, an other model then a pen style.
It looks like any other e-cig.

I will not order it, because I don't like those, it's a personal choice.
The cartridges hardly hold any liquid, it's almost impossible to fill them, and you always get the liquid in your mouth.

It feels the same when the dentist numbs your teeth. LOL.

Also the price of the carts from njoy are way too expensive.

Hi Lady P

I'd stick to EU ordering if I was you. There's a European NJOY site and it would probably be best to order from them although they're horribly expensive. My NJOY came from Jim and I got slaughtered for 30 quid on a £110 order on entry to the UK.

Anyway, the atomiser died and I mailed info@NJOY for a replacement. Haven't heard anything back after two days and I'm worried I'll be ignored. It was $50 to ship from the US (still beat the EU price by £40) so I think the cost of shipping may degrade the quality of customer service.

Marian, you might be able to shed some light for me. Is Jim's outfit a one or two man band (as I sometimes think Ludo and Harry are at Ruyan)? If he's been on the road drumming up big corporate fatties for our eventual benefit I won't feel too bad about the radio silence.

The one thing that worries me about nationwide rollouts (at least here in the UK) is that if our government gets a sniff that they might be losing out on lost revenue (a packet of cigs here costs on average £4.50 - $9 approx, of which 84% is tax) to the e-cig, they'll slap a horrendous tax on it to bring it inline with tobacco cigs. Our government has a vendetta against both smokers and motorists, seeing both as cash cows but with the added vindictiveness of the smoking ban and persecution of smokers:mad:
