NLV juice terrible "bacon" taste

Um, FAIL. New vaper taste-buds and bizarre taste sensibilities are completely out of the control of ANY vendor, as is the hardware any given vaper chooses to use. Given what we all now know about NLV juices, these appear to be the only possibilites in this instance.

Therefore, there is simply no ""issue" that this or any other vendor can "resolve", and simply no possible basis for posting negative comments in the supplier review section.



P.S. I assure you there is no bacon or hickory smoke in any of the OP's juices.

Taste is subejective as we all know. That being said I cannot believe what I'm reading in this thread. I have always seen/read nothing but nice remarks from alot of people and all of a sudden that flips around. He came here trying to find out if anything was wrong with his juice and now people are accusing him of trying to poor mouth a juice vendor. His first post was almost over a month ago asking about a PV and since he only had 2 posts prior to this thread he could not ask this anywhere else. Just my .

Guys, I know NLV doesn't use mesquite or hickory smoke flavor in their juices, but "reborn" taste buds can play tricks on you, so maybe the OP was getting hints of something that resemble bacon i.e. sweet, woodsy, smoky.

i've only been off cigarettes for about 1.5 months so i'm sure my tastebuds are funky, but if anything they're less sensitive. but this is not a "hint" or "note" of hickory or mesquite. this is an overwhelming and toxic flavor that makes me nauseous.

to give you an idea of how strong this is, and to put to rest the cries that this is a wattage/atomizer issue:
after trying the renegade in the first (brand new) stardust, i promptly washed it out after about 2 minutes of vaping. and briefly dry burned. then i put some BWB Dulce De Leche in it. still got that terrible taste, but i kept going, hoping to vape it off. eventually after 5 minutes i realized it was not happening, and i made the horrible mistake of pouring the small (~1ml) amount of Dulce back into the bottle. Now the entire bottle is tainted with this noxious taste, no matter what i vape it thru (when only minutes before, it tasted great, and every other bottle in the BWB order i got tastes great). There couldn't have been more than a single drop of renegade left collectively in the stardust (if that) but somehow it managed to contaminate an entire 10ml bottle.

Look, i understand that you guys want to defend a vendor that you appreciate and prefer, but don't let that cloud your logic. NLV is cheap and highly respected, and shipped to me in a timely manner. I want their juice to taste good. i really do. it would save me money, and having to shop around. It would benefit me greatly. I have nothing to gain by ruling out NLV as a vendor. Which is why i started this thread. to try and salvage my NLV experience before i rule them out of my go-to list because it seemed like a dream come true (what with the price, shipping, and positive hype).

lastly: it's been several days and Gene has not yet responded to my request. If anyone has doubts or wants to analyze this juice for themselves, I WILL SEND IT TO YOU! if you vape this juice yourself, there will be no argument. the juice is of no use to me, and frankly all the white-knight-ery in this thread is getting pretty annoying. I've only been on this forum for a month or so, and this is my second thread EVER. i do not appreciate the many insinuations or direct accusations that i am a liar, troll, manipulator, bad-mouther, incapable of tasting flavor, etc.

I am curious, never having used the stardust at all-if you washed it out, how could any renegade be left in it? And then you also dry burned it. That should have totally taken the juice away I would think? Again, never used a stardust so not sure how they work but that doesn't sound right at all?

And like I said in my earlier post-all the juices I loved from NLV in my kgo (and all had unique flavors) tasted mostly the same to me in my reo-I found out that there was a difference in the power from the battery that made a difference. Wasn't a bacon type flavor though But using a cartomizer worked and made it taste "normal" again.

Oh, another random thing-I put juice in the wrong carto one time, I am not sure which I had originally and which I put on top, but bounty hunter got mixed with another juice flavor and I ended up with a black licorice flavor lmao!

Seriously, SF, I do think your taste buds are changing. When I had been vaping a few weeks, nothing tasted like anything. It was really frustrating. After a couple of months, things settled down, and I started enjoying juices again.

My suggestion to you is to put it into a drawer, and forget about it for a month.

I appreciate what you have experienced and I do believe that all of us would love to see this situation understood and resolved.

With your experience notwithstanding, I'm sure that you can imagine just how utterly bizarre (not wrong/bad/silly/manipulative, etc.) it sounds to those of us who absolutely love this juice and have never once picked up on anything bacon-like in the flavors.

Please keep us posted when you do hear from NLV, which I have a feeling you will.

Lastly, I must say that I am so sorry that you do not enjoy these juices. I'm sure you are as well.

i'm wondering this myself. but i know it's not the clearo, because i re-washed, soaked overnight, and let dry for another day, and now i'm vaping thru it no problem.

What has happened to being polite and helping each other out? A noob comes here looking for help and he is completely trashed. Yes he could have been a little more tactful but I did not find that he was purposely trying to be rude. Certainly not nearly as rude as so many of you experienced vapers have been. Even if he was being nasty you sure aren't going to help anything by behaving the same way. Hopefully everyone has heard of "The Golden Rule" - "Treat people the way you want to be treated". I (also somewhat of a noob) was also treated rudely when I made an apparent mistake. How dare I recommend different hardware that may bring out the subtle/superior flavors of NLV! It didn't matter that I was actually trying to help NLV. No, apparently to many of you, my suggesting a different carto could hurt Gene's business! If that was even remotely true than I think you don't have much faith in NLV juice. So why don't you take me and studface to the town center and stone us for Christ's sake! Hey, then maybe have a pig roast and chow down on some bacon!!!

I have seen many people agree/disagree and discuss various hardware/accessories/juice configurations on vendors sites without any of this disgusting behavior. Most people make suggestions and explain things like taste bud changes, steeping, drinking water, etc. New and seasoned vapers need advise and that is what this forum is supposed to be about. That IS what the majority of ECF is about. If all you want to do is be a fanboy/girl and trash anyone who doesn't completely agree with you then you are not being of service to anyone but yourself. I personally think it makes NLV look really bad.

I really like Gene. I think he makes superior juice and has outstanding customer service. IMOO I find it disgusting the way some of you talk to people (behind the safety of your computer) and in the long run you are the ones that hurt NLV and ECF.

I got a few of the stardusts when they first released them and only one was usable for me. The other 2 tasted terrible. You can search my posts and see I complained about the taste. So anyway's after washing them out several times the horrible taste went away. My bet it was something in the stardust that ruined your juice.

I'm vaping the NLV Gold 24 mg nic, as I type. It's dated 4/12, I usually will let their juice steep for 2 weeks before trying but this thread led me to try it sooner since the OP mentioned the same batch time. I'm vaping it on a REO 18490 using a freshly charged AW 18490 battery and a Joy 1.7 ohm attomizer. I don't taste any bacon. Given I've had it for less than 2 weeks and has not been properly steeped, to me it has kind of a pancake/citruis taste in the background. I do like it a lot even though it's still "young".

I'm not sure what to say, I have some renegade that's from the same batch (4/12) and it tastes fantastic without any hint of bacon. I realize taste is subjective, but if you're getting as noxious as a flavor of you describe it has to be something on your end. I don't know much about startdusts or clearos, but I've dripped the renegade and used it in cartos/tanks and it's been a great vape.
