i wasn't sure i was going to like ecigs, so i ordered the No.7 disposable kind. anyone tried it? i'm getting very low levels of vapor and almost no nic hit, even though there's quite a bit of throat feel and i've using the high level carts. the battery seems to be going fast, too even though i've only gotten through 2 of the 5 carts. am i doing something wrong or is this just how disposibles go? it leaves me afraid to shell out the cash for a recharable full featured model.

I started with the No. 7 micro model. It was not a very good intro to vaping. The batteries only lasted about 1.5 hours before needing to be recharged and they took about 4 hours to recharge. Not a good ratio. I had a really hard time getting good vapor off of them and in order to get the vapor, I had to suck really hard on them. It felt like I was sucking cement through a coffee stir stick! Like so many who are new to vaping, I thought I wanted something that looked like a real cigarette. Now I know better! The ones that look like a real cigarette are inferior in performance to the bigger models.

After doing a bunch of research on this site and reading people's reviews, I ordered an eGo from cignot.com. What a HUGE difference! The batteries last between 6 to 10 hours (depending on how much vaping I do) and the manual battery is so much easier than I thought it would be. The manual battery (the ones with the button to push) give you a lot more control as to how long of a drag you can take and the draw on them is so much easier.

When/if you buy a new PV (e-cig), get yourself some juice. The prefilled carts don't last as long as the websites say they do (as you're finding out).

thanks for the info, firehorse! i thought it seemed extremely hard to take a drag on, but since it was my only experience with one, i didn't know if that was just how it was. felt like my lungs were going to burst from the effort! as for the look, i actually hate that it looks "real" i'd much rather have one of the all black ones or one of the other colors. i feel like the "real" look actually just looks tacky. my other question is, does the amount of vapor produced have anything to do with the amount of nicotine you're getting? i'd like the vapor look, but don't really mind not having a lot of it if i'm still getting the same amount of nicotine.

I had the same problem with a no7. I was not getting much vapor and the batteries do not last long.
second I bought a 510. same size good vapor, not much battery.
now I am using one of the ego sized PVs, same as FireHorse said, the battery is much better, it lasts me mostly all day.

I even though I did not like the no7 (and it was expensive) I'm thankful that it got me into vaping.
You came to the right place for information, and you will find more than you thought you ever needed here.
Look around. there are plenty of reviews of different options from different vendors, for any style you decide you want.

Good luck and welcome

oh and you do not have to pay the price of the no7 to get a decent kit.

My new PV is waiting at home as I type this! I bought a eGo from cignot.com. I am at work right now :(

The e-cig that I started with was a Red Dragon (E9 model - cigarette type) I do not like the little throat hit I am receiving. However, I do not have to "suck" real hard to get the vapor. I personally think the cigarette style is bad for performance. I also found out recently that I have reactions to PG based juice. So, I have to go all VG (which reduces throat hit). But this is a different topic so I will move on.

I recommend getting a good PV from the beginning. Joye eGo. Although I can not vouch for it right now, the reviews of the device can vouch for itself. I will repost when I get home!!

The no7 micro (the 35.00 one)is what got me into vaping....I must say I had very good use with mine...as I'm typing this now I am using my no7 (dripping)

When I first got my kit I had charger issues...friggen thing melted on me. but great customer service sent a new charger and battery. Even though I couldn't charge the battery...I was still able to use it all day with the charge that came with it. I think it depends on how you use it...The carts were ok..not great But for someone not knowing anything about an ecig it did the trick to get me into vaping.

Even though no7 got me going. I would recomend a 510. or an ego...I went right to an ego after my No7...ordered with cignot.
