I put a new carto in my tank with my new Papa Smurf juice today. After priming the carto and filling the tank I took my first hit or two. Initially I got three air bubbles come out of one of the two punched holes in the carto. After that I have not gotten any air bubbles out. I have been vaping on and off for a couple of hours and still have not seen any air bubbles? What's wrong with my setup? My other tank bubbles every so often but the one that bubbles is a 3ml tank with another juice. This tank is a 6 ml tank. Please help with any knowledge it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

If the carto is still hitting without running dry/giving you a burnt flavor then you really don't have anything to worry about. I have a carto in one tank that wicks fine, yet it looks as if it isn't really producing any bubbles in the tank from the wick action. My other carto bubbles after every draw.

When you say dry hit do you mean no smoke or do you mean no flavor or both?

Yep some of my tanks bubble and others don't. Only 1 X 2.5 mm hole. Just peek at the carto filler and make sure it's still "slushie" looking. Also realize occasionally a negative pressure can build up in the tank causing dry hits and/ or flooding. If the carto is slightly dry try cupping your fingers around the carto bottom and blocking the carto air holes and vape WITHOUT the PV activated- be careful about flooding the carto.

Dry hits may give you smoke and the flavor is generally off. There may be a mild burnt flavor to it as well. For it to go completely dry, you would have little doubt as to the bad taste and if there is any smoke, it's from the wick burning. ;)

I didn't understand when you said "1 x 2.5 mm hole." What about 1 x 2.5 mm hole? If I look at the the top of the carto it does not look slushie. Maybe a little dry

New to tanks?
Some cartos are 1 hole, others are 2 hole. some get custom cut/drilled. Tank carto does not need to look slushy. it is bottom feeding

Simple solution is - If it is working nicely - decent flavor/Vapor - leave it alone and enjoy.

The first few hits taste fine then it seems to be a little dry. Any suggestions?

I prime my cartos and dont recall ever seeing bubbles....I popped the lid on my carto tank and it does not look slushy by any means....it just looks dampish. (this is normal because I have a very light juice) Ive seen videos where they talk about the bubbles tho.

*Note to self: Watch my carto tank to see if I get bubbles....

Yes I primed the carto

Then no bubbles means you primed your carto properly. If you're getting a few good puffs and then a dry scratchy hit it might just be because the hole in your carto is not big enough to keep the filler material wet. You can try widening the hole a bit, or, if you only made one hole, you can make another one and see if that helps.

The first fill of a carto is VERY important whether you're using it alone or in a tank. I can vape from a properly first filled carto (without a tank) for hours without dry hits. Try taking the carto outside and "thermometer" shaking towards the carto batt end. Drip more drops in and thermometer shake again. After the first fill is properly done the tank should be able to feed the carto.

I vape anywhere from 60/ 40- 80/ 20 PG/ VG and only have 1 carto hole measuring 2.5 mm wide. I can almost guarantee the "unseen" bottom of your carto filler is dry. When dripping juice into the carto place a round toothpick in the center airway to help prevent juice from entering the airway.

You prolly have a flange on the bottom of your carto so can't really fill this way BUT look at the carto at 5:25 Mins- slushie
