No analogs for about three weeks and I'm still cranky/irritable. Anyone else go through this?

So no analogs for about 3 weeks. I still feel "off". Stress is hitting harder, temper is a bit quicker, feeling a bit more aggressive. I've been vaping like a fiend (at my desk, in my car, in between) going through 6-10ml of 16mg juice per day. Do the quitting smoking stresses still occur when you quit via vaping? Perhaps I'm getting too much nicotine? Any thoughts.

When I started a few weeks ago, I checked the forums for finding the right nic level. What helped me was what a member said, I do not remember who it was. "If you are jittery, not enough, if you are feeling light headed too much". So I vaped until I felt myself calming down. It worked. maybe you need to up the nic level?

First guess would be not enough nic, considering how much juice you are using. I'd recommend trying some 24mg. How much did you smoke, and what kind?
Parlament lights. about a pack, pack and a half per day. I've found the higher nic carts I was using before switching to my eGo burned my throat quite a bit. Then I bought a bunch of juice from ELP and they topped out at 16.

It's funny you brought this up Code, I am going through the same thing. I just quit smoking about 10 days ago and about 3 days ago I noticed my temper getting short. I am blowing up at work and talking on the phone with family. Just normal everyday things like dropping a fork will make me shout obscenities and get mad, haha. Now, I pretty much have been cold turkey vaping, 0 nic. I went from about 10-15 cigs a day to 24 mg nic for 3 days then 0 nic up til now. My blood is boiling right now at the light shining in my face as I am typing this. I think its normal to be moody for a while...I just hope it goes away soon. :)

I was only crankyish for about 3 days, then I upped my nicotine and yaaay. I also tried to remember that I am NOT smoking, Vaping is a little different, no instant "relief" give it 5 minutes or so. Vaping taught me patience, but overall, after 3 whole months.. no analogs... none, I am truly happy. No worries, no coughing, no stinking, I can taste, I can breathe. I am an elec cigarette BELIEVER!!!

Like others have said my first inclination is to tell you to up your nic. However, although I have been vaping for over a year, I can tell you it has not been without some cigarettes particularly in high stress situations. For example, the day I had to replace my sewer line I smoked a whole pack that day. Besides doing the work basiclly by myself, renting the backhoe, not knowing what I would find, not knowing how deep the main would be, and on top of all of that my job exploded that morning and was on the phone for almost 2 hours straightening out a situation.

What I'm trying to say is it is not easy to just quit cigarettes and do nothing but vaping unless you've really made your mind up and have some very strong willpower. Do up your nic but hang in there and vaping will get easier. If you have to smoke on occasion don't beat yourself up. But do continue vaping and remember why you wanted to quit cigarettes in the first place. Vaping is very enjoyable and a h*ll of a lot healthier for you. Hang tough, my friend.

1 1/2 pad, and a "smoke 'em to the filter" like I was 16mg isn't going to kill the craves.
There are many suppliers where you can choose the strength and PG/VG ratio, FSUSA
for example. If the higher nic carts were "prefilled" that could explain your burned throat,
I have never found any that where near the flavor of your own juice. Also the higher the
percentage of PG the more TH you're going to get, even with juice, VG will smooth it out.

p.s. I'm still cranky/irritable, but that has nothing to do with smoking.... :)

Well said. Thank you for the support. I've got some higher nic juice on the way. Hopefully it will arrive before my wife puts me out of the house!

I am just about at the 3 week mark and to be honest, I have rarely done anything easier (do not want to hex myself though lol). My mood is fine, no worse and maybe better. No aggression, no moodiness. Sooooo, something does seem to be off. As people are saying, maybe nicotine. Or I guess it is possible that you had a strong physical dependence to some other chemical in analogs?

First of all, love your avatar/handle "YOU TELL EM STEVE DAVE!" Kevin and the gang rule.
I would say your ramp down is pretty aggressive. I've tried to ween off nic like that before and it didn't end well...however I'm not one to be overly patient when it comes to certain needs ;) Best of luck to you. One tip that was passed on to me that I'll give to you. When in doubt, if the situation permits, take a shower when your're all worked up...because really, have you ever had a bad shower (when the hot water didn't run out of course)!
