Has anyone else struggling with their appetite since starting vaping? It's weird I know I am hungry but don't fancy anything! Eating has become a chore! I am 2 1/2 weeks in and I feel light headed because of it
Five weeks in for me . I had lost my appetite over the past few weeks but thought it was just stress from several life events (although stress usually causes me to eat more). Now I'm wondering if it's the vaping. Interesting.
Almost 3 months in... I eat. I'm not hungry all the time and my sense of taste seems ok. I think I'm enjoying the vape flavors so much I just don't want anything to interfere with the enjoyment. I've pretty much cut sugars out of my diet (especially at night) when I'm vaping a chocolate/peanut butter blend (always something tasty and sweet) or something comparable. THAT'S my dessert. Oh, and I've lost about 15 pounds since i started. No loss of energy either.
My appetite has been all over the place since quitting, some days I wake up hungry(which is new) and can't stop eating while others I have to force myself to eat something. I think the lack of appetite was at least partially due to me subconsciously trying to avoid eating so I wouldn't be tempted to have an after meal smoke. Whatever the cause both extremes seem to be leveling off now.
I'm one month into vaping and wondered today whether vaping tends to stimulate appetite or the reverse. Some scientific study might be useful. A start would be simply asking people who vape if they have lost or gained weight since starting to vape. It would be significant if vaping tends to help people control their weight. If the answer is yes it might change the dynamic of the public discussion.

My appetite hasn't changed, but the way I cook sure has. I'm finding that I use substantially less Tabasco sauce and cayenne pepper in/on everything since my taste buds are waking up.
Sudden loss of appetite can be caused by a lot of things. If it concerns you, you should ask your Dr about it.
