So I just started vaping today, Blu, and I've noticed that I'm not getting the chills like I do with analogs. I'm used to getting a strong buzz off 1 or 2 analogs, tingly skin, head buzz, ect. I haven't been getting the same effects off the vapor. I did take the foil off the cartridge and have tried taking longer and stronger draws as well as short-consecutive draws and neither seems to be getting it for me. Any advice or is this just something I shouldn't expect from vaping?

Audi... it's not the nicotine that makes you feel that way, it's all the other crap you get in a cigarette. I do find if I don't use my PV for a few hours I will feel a bit lightheaded like I did with an analog, but not even close to the same feeling.

Most typically use the PV more frequently than a normal analog, they just don't have to sit for 5-10 minutes to finish them. With the PV I believe you keep a more consistent volume of nicotine in your system so you don't get the withdrawal rush.

Something you have to get used to, but you are not feeling the way you do with analogs because all the other crap in a cig caused most of it. :)

Hope this helps...

damn... i liked that lol. O well, this is a lot healthier for me. I'm a social smoker anyway so it'll just give me a way to still go out with smokers but not have to deal with the nasty stuff. Just out of curiousity does anyone know what chemical or w/e gives that dizzy, tingly sensation?

Also I used to smoke cloves, do the clove liquids give off the same anesthetic effect of clove cigarettes or is it all synthetic?

The dizzy sensation could be anything, but I think carbon monoxide is a big player in that.

I dont mean to start any crap here but I want to voice my opinion. After all it is (or was) a free country. I truely believe that its people like yourself who vape to get "high" are the ones who are going to screw it up for the rest of us with the government and give them all the more ammunition to ban ecigs and/or juice with nicotine. For those of us who vape instead of smoke because of health concerns or because its less expensive or because we like the taste of the juices (in that case I use a very LOW nicotine or ZERO nicotine juice cause otherwise I'd get "high" vapin for flavor and Im not into getting HIGH!!!!!!) I smoked for 35 years so I am a nicotine addict. Ecigs are meant to be substitutes for analogs so you can still get your nicotine satisfaction without all the health risks. Or they are for people who are trying to quit but need that "smoking" sensation.

As they say...it only takes a few bad apples to ruin the whole bushell. Im afraid of people like you....if you want to get "high" go get a crack pipe and leave the electronic cigarette business out of your "junkie" mentality..

Get off your high horse...... I'm tired of self-righteous people like you.

You love to pretend like you're some poor helpless "addict" that we should all feel sorry for, and that we should all be so proud of you for switching to a healthier method of getting your fix, and that you don't enjoy it one bit. Give me a f**king break.

Yes, cigarettes are addictive, but why did the majority of us ever smoke them in the first place? The high, of course.

The FDA might make dumb decisions, but they are not dumb enough to believe that we all vape purely for health reasons and that none of us actually enjoy it. Get real, it's not even about that.

I enjoy my nicotine high, and have no problem admitting it in public. WTF are you going to do about it?

(Just "voicing my opinion")

U really need to re-read what I said cause you obviously didnt get it AT ALL. Nowhere did I elude to the fact that someone should feel sorry for me or proud of me for going the healthier route. I told you I was a nicotine addict and that I vape instead of smoke. I enjoy vaping..it was IMPLIED. I also vape in public (no where did i say i didnt or anything else about public usage for that matter) and dont give a crap what othes think because its legal (so far) If I didnt what would I be doing it for?????? I smoked analogs for 35 years. I am substituting vaping for my nicotine cravings.Maybe were saying the same thing here but Im not sure. I do "jones" for nicotine so I vape but I dont feel "high" just "unstressed". It is an addiction but maybe Im scared of the way your terminology reads. I just wish people would not call it getting "high" or "buzzed"....the politicians love that crap. Thats essential what point I was trying to get across..

Wow Terri...you really are crazy....Let me start with your line...("After all it is (or was) a free country.") Then you go on to say..."I wish people would only say certain things. So much for freedom...You don't get that "marlboro high"....you get "unstressed"....same meaning, its called "repackaging" I find it hilarious one nicotine addict calling another nicotine addict a junky. I'm with h8isgr8 on this one..... just really tired of "YOUR KIND".....

It was purely a suggestion because
I wish people would be aware of how close we are getting to having these ecigs banned. Im just saying a little discretion would be nice since the Feds watch over these forums like a hawk (look it up). I dont care what u call it off forum go ahead and call it what ever u want to here but if you keep talking like a "junkie" and that this is your drug and u want to get "high" and not a consumer on the forums you can watch your right to vape disappear. go ahead write on. It is a free country for now but how free is it really when they start taking away things that they really have no right to do. Hence the ""After all it is (or was) a free country." saying. your way too defensive to have a debate on this. I did say that maybe were saying the same thing just using different terminology. But you didnt catch that did you? Whatever

Actually, you seem to be the only one using the terminology. Audiman used the word "buzz"...you turned it into "High" and Junkie"....then you keep repeating it in all your posts. Not that i know any druggies, but i've never heard one of them mention what a nice buzz they got off an illegal susbstance. Best thing you can do is stop typing if you want to keep the so called "junkie mentality" to a minimum.

You don't seem to get the fact that the FDA doesn't need us to give them any reason; they can create whatever reason fits their argument at the time.

The FDA doesn't give a $&#@ if nicotine users like the buzz/high, they are only interested in the profitability of making things "safe", or "unsafe" for that matter.

You see, this is a win/win for them. If they completely ban e-cigs, then "Big Tobacco" and "Big Pharma" get to keep their profits, which leads to big kickbacks for the FDA. If they deem e-cigs safe through testing, then they get big kickbacks from the billions of dollars spent in research and the tax revenue from the regulation they will have power over.

We lose either way, it's just a matter of time.

I think Terrie just means that using certain terminolgy can be percieved as bad - same way everyone says vape so as not to confuse it with analog smoking?

I used to play a lot of paintball at a tournament level, and we had the same discussions there, calling the guns 'markers' and trying to move away from the wargames / militistic terminology and style to minimise the risks of having laws restricting use and ownership of paintball equipment.

Ummmm......... no.

The OP used the word "buzz", and then Terrie started a personal attack on the guy calling him a junkie who just wants to get high.

I could personally care less even if the OP had used the term "high" instead of "buzz", which he did not. It has to be called something, and there isn't any word or phrase you can come up with that will sugar coat the fact that we all intentionally use a substance classified as a stimulant (big deal).

sorry to have caused such a hot discussion. Terrie, I'm not an addict, this is true, but like previous posters have said most people start smoking for the physical or mental effects. The buzz is a natural thing when inhaling cigarette smoke. I'm not a junkie. I've never even used an illegal drug in my life thus far.

I'm sure you can understand the sensation that I was describing though and I'm trying ecigs to see if it's possible to get that in a healthier way. I'm sorry if I had offended you in any way. Just trying to get some education here.
