Thanks to everyone, I think my plan now is to buy an EVOD and a few hundred mL's of e Liquid, a 1100mah eGO-T Battery from Vaporvapes, and some Kanger Replacement coils at 2.5 ohm. May I get opinions on this plan? Again, thank you everyone!

When you say EVOD, are you still talking about getting the kit?

On the 1100 ego-t, you might want to consider upgrading that to an ego-twist, that way he can get the size experience as well as the variable voltage experience. Not necessary, ten bucks more.

I would second the 50-50 blend. Good place to start. 18mg strength. Maybe make one bottle a 24mg strength. Since you're getting several bottles of e-liquid, maybe you could make one an 80/20 PG/VG and one a 20/80 PG/VG so he can see the differences.

That will get him started! See if you can get the evod in VV also. I usually run 2.3 ohm coils but any thing in that neighborhood is fine. Get a five pack of coils to go with it. I would get a charger for each battery so you have a back up.

As far as Juice, NEVER order more than 30ml of juice until you have tried it. He is going to go through some flavors before he hits on one that he likes and you don't want to be stuck with a bunch of juice that doesn't taste good to him.

Good advice about the size of one flavor. If you're buying a couple hundred mls, don't get all one flavor. Buy 10 or 15ml at most of any one flavor.

I was going to say, I don't think t stands for twist. I have a little 350 mah ego that says ego-t. It's definitely not a twist.

I agree with spreading the juice expenditure out over many different flavors. It can be tempting to order 30 ml bottles because it's more economical, but if the person using it doesn't like the flavor it's not a money saver. Finding the right juice is one of the most important factors in a successful switch, IMO.

And yes, 15ml at a time and for the first couple of months still never over 30 even if you think you like the flavor because a lot of time taste change as you go through the process.

I haven't read all the posts but the Triton kit is excellent. The tanks are reliable and don't leak, and all you need are spare heads in case one goes out (they last forever imo). Instead of getting the 30ml juice bottles, Halo sells sample packs of different flavors. Tribecca is often a favorite and most (obviously not all) people who are quitting smoking like it. A friend of mine just bought a Halo Triton kit and sample pack the other day and was amazed at how easy it was to quit smoking after 30 years!

Something that needs to be stressed and isn't mentioned enough is that many ejuice liquids have been known (had some myself in the beginning) to crack..melt...destroy plastic tanks. The EVOD (my first kit) has these tanks (polycarbonate). The Mt Baker Vapor site mentioned earlier has a list of those juices. If you look around (Google is good...Google is your friend) you can find Glass tanks (ARO is one and look like beefed up EVOD tanks..there are others) that have replaceable coil heads etc. You can use ANY juice with those. Otherwise use caution picking your juice and enjoy...plenty are fine with plastic tanks.

I'm not a battery expert, but I believe the charger you will get in the evod kit will work fine on the larger battery.

Edit: I should say, I know it will work, as I used the same charger for both my 650 egos and my 1100 egos. Not being a battery expert, I can't tell you if it was OK to do, but I have never seen an ego charger that specified only to be used for certain mah batteries.

I would advise always using the wall charger though, and not charging off a computer.

Good day all!
I'm looking to buy a Halo Triton Tank for a family member who is a smoking addict. I feel moderately informed in that I've done all I can to research the general things. However, since this family member travels often, I want to make sure that when I give him the kit, I give them everything he needs for a while.

As of now, I plan to buy the Halo Triton Tank kit and a few hundred mL's of E Liquid. My plan is for it to last around 2-4 months before he needs extra items from online. But apparently, there are a few parts on the E Cig that need to be replaced? If anybody could please shed some light on these replaceable parts, I would be extremely grateful .

If you get the Halo Triton starter kit then the ONLY thing that you will need to replace for the foreseeable future would be the coils. You can buy extra coils from Halo, or if you want to save some money they Kanger T2 coils will also work just fine.

Other than that, you're good with the started kit. That's exactly what I used to quit smoking, and I still carry mine every time I leave the house.
