I picked up an overpriced 808 at a kiosk in Vegas a couple months ago. I knew I was going to be playing a lot of poker and you can't smoke in any poker room I've seen, yet you still might be in the middle of a casino with tons of people around you smoking. Thought it might be a good pacifier while I was playing and it was. Took me a month to get completely off the analogs, mainly cause even with 3 808 batteries on me, they didn't seem to last me that long through the day. I'd also bum them from a guy at work when we'd go outside, and then he bought an e-cig, so that crutch was gone.

This is where the part that still amazes me comes in. I go 4 days without a cigarette and I'm at a friends poker party. A friend has my old favorite Camel lights and I asked if I could bum one. I tasted it and although it wasn't horrible, the thing felt completely foreign in my fingers and tasted nothing like my new favorite Strawberry Lemonade!

A month goes by and I'm at another poker event (Imagine that) my battery goes out and my spare is at home. #%$! So I bum a cig from a guy.. Now it's not just that I prefer my vape, I'm totally disgusted by this cigarette!

I've smoked for over 25 years, even quit once for a year and have never thought I'd ever get such a distaste for smoking. Still haven't gotten rid of my habit for nicotine.. That's probably worse then when I was a smoker, since I'll do it anywhere!

Grats!! :)

After the first couple of months, once I had good ecigs and found liquid I really liked the aroma of, I was able to cut my nicotine. Since you obviously like a lot of TH, a fat battery model might interest you - something like Ego or Riva 510 or a mod with removable batteries. 510 threading has the most stuff - just not much in the way of prefilled cartos if that is what you use. But if you get a mod (the kind with the removable industrial AA-ish size batteries at 3.7v or a variable voltage mod then you can put a 510 to 808 adapter on it and use the 808 cartos and get the same heat out of them. 808 is a real 3.7v mini and most mods are 3.7v or variable.

With a mod or fat battery model you can use LR (low resistance) atomizers and cartomizers to get hotter bigger hits (does use the charge up faster). I found it helpful when I dropped my nicotine because heat enhance nicotine's TH so less nicotine will still give a good hit.

Welcome to ECF! I actually knew somebody who switched over completely to e-cigs from analogs and how great it was to be smoke free yet still get the all the sensations from it. So that convinced me, along with the difference in price. I'm sure it'll get mentioned at some point (surprised it hasn't yet) but definately check out some other e-cigs. You could always take part in the contests (I've won 2 kits from them, and hey, they're free), or check out the different supplier promotions. You can get some pretty good deals sometimes. I went from an 801 that was horrible batterywise compared to my 900 mah ego. I had to carry around 5 or 6 spares, atomizers and cartridges. Now I don't really worry about a spare battery, and only carry different cartomizers for the different flavors I vape :) Gone are the hassle-full days of worrying about whether my e-cig is going to make it through the day. There are tons of other mods and e-cigs out there though. I would love to try the go-go if it's mechanical issues were actually worked out. Look around, see what you think, I'm sure you'll find something you'll like! :D

I didn't start out trying to quit either. I got bronchitis and couldn't smoke for over a week because it made my couch worse and burned my throat. After I started feeling better I started getting real anxious for a cig. I knew that I should quit since I'd gotten this far without a cig but I didn't really WANT to quit so I tried a disposable e cig and that's all it took. I haven't had an analog since, about 2 months now. The thing I like about PVs are they are healthier, taste better and are a hell of a lot of fun. I love trying all the new stuff that comes out and trying different juices and mixing my own. I'm having a blast. Best of all...my boyfriend doesn't hold his breath now when he kisses me.

Oh I'm quite far ahead of a few posts here.. I did quickly replace my 808 with an ego-T starter. Last week when my battery blew, it was actually quite surprising as they usually last me a day.. One was at home charging and the other was fresh. Usually my 900mah would last almost a day and this night only lasted about 4-5 hours!??!..

The next day my Megaladon arrived in the mail. I only have the 3.7's that came with it, but I think I'm going to try the 5v batteries. I also need a couple 5v passthroughs.
