Received my 510 starter kit from Cignot today. Took a good look at everything that was included in my order.
Read thru the literature that was included, set my batteries to start charging, and got ready to have my first experience.
While waiting for my batteries to charge, I blew thru my atomizer to remove the priming liquid as recommended.
I placed a few drops on the bridge of the atomizer as is suggested to help it wick properly.
Put my 510 together and took a slow even draw and exhaled.
I was utterly unimpressed with the lack of vapor and the lack of taste.
Then I realized I was trying to smoke the empty safety cartridge that comes with the atomizer.
After I had stopped laughing, I tried a pre-filled cartridge of Marlboro 18mg.
I was very happy with the result. To add, it seems that the performance of my 510 is actually getting better as the day goes on and I use it.
Two things I hadn't come across until today, and found out by reading a post entitled "Everything you wanted to know about your new 510" or at least I believe that was the title.
I will try to find the link and post it but, they were:
1) the Atty and the cartridge should be aligned properly. you can see the shape that both the cart and the ballast in the atty have, line those up.
2) The 510 battery simply slides into the PCC and is charged by "closing the cover, you do not screw the batt in place inside the PCC."
So far today, I haven't even thought of a traditional cigarette.
I also stopped smoking analogs a few days prior to today, as I thought it might be better to not jump directly from Analogs to Digital.
All in all, I am very impressed and will post some mushy "Thank you ECF"s a little later after I play with my new toy a little bit more.
