Thank you! I swear by my 510, so I'm happy to see it on the list. Did you by any chance receive any official-looking certificate of non-leadedness that you could scan and share? Thing is the same old rumours keep popping up all the time in discussions, and lead content is one of them. A certificate or an online reference to the study or something would be nice in that regard.

Tarzan, you could look at the manufacturers site to see if they are working with Rohs-certificate; and then look up what rohs means. Most manufacturers do make their devices rohs-certified (if not all). So they aren't leaving us out in the dark as much as you fear perhaps. :)

Always good to have it confirmed though of course!

Very well done Sun Vaporer, don't know how I missed this thread.

Was that XRF they used for anaysis ?,
must have been quite expensive to commission testing of all those samples,
great to see the definitive 'no lead' result.

Rocketman, the solder used in the atomizer has been tested & was lead free,
(don't know about any of the internal electronics in the battery part)
see this thread :

It is possible that we breathe in some tin though in some form; tiny amount though and by no means certain (tin was found in the deposit material by Exo).

I had tested for Lead paint the following atomizers and batteries both in black and white and they all came back negative for lead in all of them:

Atomizers and Batteries tested:

801 SLB's Originals
801 from Eastmall
BE112 from Best
RN4072 from Njoy
RN4072 from First Union
RN4072 from Puresmoker (old style)
510 from Joy
510 from Eastmall
901 from Puresmoker
BE901 from Best
901 SLB's Original's

Testing was done on the inside as well as the outside of each device.

I find this to be good news and worth the time and money.

Sun

That's great news, I didnt think there would be led in there, but with China's rep you could never be too sure. Just curious how did you test it for led?
