Unless the search term isn't working properly, I can only see a handful of casual mentions of 25AWG. I've used 24AWG a couple of times and been pretty happy, but my new supplier was all out of 24AWG so I ordered 10 metres of 25AWG and got 25 metres instead (they must have known!).

This stuff is SUPER easy to wrap without torching (I only torch after winding the coil under compression), and produces a flawless coil very quickly indeed. I'm getting around 0.75 ohms for 10 wraps around a 2mm bit. Gives me a superb single coil and a super nice dual without going too crazy. This might just be my new favourite with a 100 metre order inbound :D

Apologies for the bad picture, my camera is charging so just used my phone.

I hate when I read somebody all excited about something, and then some jerk comes along and says something like . . . . .. .

I only tried 25K when I decided to lay off the 26N for a while (curious about some issues I'd been having . . .. proved unrelated). Like Kemosabe said, they are about the same resistance. Sheep dip, was I disappointed. I was all runnin' around, complaining, wondering why I noticed such a difference. Someone pointed out that the resistance may be the same; but Kanthal requires more wire mass to achieve it (it's thicker). So, the Nichrome has more kick to it. Heats faster, bites harder. Like it better.

I am glad to hear that you found your own sweet spot. And good on ya'!

(ps. I don't hardly vape round wire anymore anyway, so .. . . . . . .. hey)

ADDIT: OH, and Nichrome gives some people a sore throat.
