No Magnet Stingray X possible?

I am loving my King V2 thanks to the great advice of Bad Ninja. Like many I want to add a few other mechs to my collection for some variety and fun. I have come to appreciate the simplicity of a spring button, and I have no desire to fiddle with magnets. My question is-- can the Stingray X be converted to a spring button without much difficulty?

Lastly, where are you folks finding your replacement springs? I would like to stock up on a few for my vapocalypse toolbox, lol.

looking at my stingray, the magnets seem to be epoxied in; would be tough to take them out; on the other hand they are disk magnets unlike my nemesis which are fragile washer shaped magnets, so I'm not worried about them breaking.

would be difficult to use a spring anyway; you would have to insulate the spring in this case, and at the same time allow for electrical contact when the spring is compressed.

Just get some welding wire from a wire feed welder, diferent gauges are available, and wrap around whatever size screw or bolt for the size you need. The wire is made from copper so has great conductivity, I never buy springs, just make my own.
