Interesting. Will Visa and Master Card replace my loss by cheating from the seller???

Paypal have done 2 times for me.

Yes, its called a chargeback.

Paypal does nothing the credit card company won't do for you, except as a seller you cannot fight chargebacks, its Paypal's call. Since Paypal doesn't want their processing charges to go up, its easier to pass the hit on to the seller without question.

If you look at other post about people that lost it. It is because of the fda issues. They refused to let us use it cause of them @$$hats.
I took a good hour of my life and read over all the info on their webpage. Nothing about we will ban you if it is used for ecig or like.
Also called them letting them know I wanted to do some selling online, but didn't want to mess up my account due to ebay.
I was told that if it was to take payment it was ookay.
I am really sick of paypal.

FDA doesn't apply in Canada.

E-cigarettes are covered in their aceptable use policy, according to paypal, they may classify them as a "drug", I haven't wasted my time reading it.

Feb 27, 2010: In accordance with PayPal's User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy, we have closed your account. Your funds may be held for 180 days from the date of your last transaction. After 180 days, you will be able to access your funds by requesting an online bank transfer or, if applicable, a check from PayPal. Please update your address or bank information as we cannot be held responsible for checks issued to an incorrect address. We do ask that you please remove reference(s) to PayPal from your site.

I'm not sure what you are asking Paypal, but if you are using it for anything to do with e-cigs you risk loosing your money, and messing up your account and access to e-bay.

Can understand that as I still have mine and you seem to have lost yours. But please just cut and copy where it says that about ecigs I am just saying that while looking it over and talking to their Customer Support, they told ME that it wasn't going to happen. Like I said I was lied to cause it is still happening, my main thing in the post is that there isn't anything that says that if you do this they will kill your account.

I've never experienced that Visa or Master Card have warned me, before I even knew, that I was being rigged. Paypal emailed me and told me, that I should have my money back because the company I bought from were imposters.

So my experience with Paypal has been very positive and would prefer any time Paypal when paying over the Internet.

And that there is what they are trying to sell people on, problem is its not true. A legitimate dispute WILL be solved by your credit card company. An imposter running your card WILL be stopped and if not you are insured anyhow.

What Paypal does in a dispute is strongly favor the buyer. The seller, who uses Paypal in the first place, is only using it because they are not able to get a merchant account at a much lower rate. They do not have any other options and must take it. But in the end the money has to come from somewhere, and it will be from the pockets of the consumer paying higher prices for goods (ironically increasing Paypal's % based take)

It is "easier" to get your money back with Paypal, and its easier to scam a seller with Paypal. Its creating a false notion of "security" for Paypal bankrolled off the backs of sellers.

Paypal's interest are to monopolize the market, and then when unchallenged, impose their will on everyone, as they have done with e-cigarettes or they have done by forcing every e-bay seller to accept Paypal, or to freeze people's money at will.

Maybe it says it, maybe it doesn't. Like I said its not worth the read.

Its about what they do...

What if it doesn't say anywhere in there polices about e-cigs? My account would still be frozen and my money still held. What am I going to do, spend 10X the amount of money in my account to sue them? Even if I win its still going to be over 180 days.

Polices, terms, ect are not worth the paper they are written on. As with everything in business its about avoiding the con artist and finding a honest and legitmate partners to do business with.

I think in the end we are in complete agreement :)
