No power is being consumed when manual PV is turned on but button is not pressed to puff?

Just want to be sure I have this right: for a PV like an EGO-T or EVOD - if I turn it on but I'm not pressing the button to puff, no power is being consumed?
So, it's ok to turn it on and puff it occasionally without having to turn it off every time?

Yes, to both questions. I only turn mine off when I put in my purse or pocket where the fire button could accidentally be pressed.

I only turn mine off to charge (not necessary, but the display is better for the istick), putting it in my pocket, or if the grandkids are around.

The 5 click off is just a safety.

Awkward squad reporting in. The button is not a circuit breaker, so the electronics are powered to detect when it's pressed. So power is consumed all the time a battery is present in the PV. Not much power, barely enough to make a spider tingle, but the battery is most definitely being drained at all times.

Just dug out my 4 year old eGo starter kit that I haven't used for the last 3.5 years to see if that's true.
Both batteries have been "on" for that 3.5 years, and both were still very close to fully charged.

An open circuit is an open circuit, The only exception I can think of is with some of the Evolv products that send a resistance search pulse to the atomizer.
(the Kick-1 did this, and I believe the Darwin did also)

The iStick "pulses" as well, but only for the 12 or so seconds the display is on.

And Sunshine? That minute amount a circuit might consume is negligible.
