There is something we call vaper's tongue. If you recently quit smoking, your taste buds may be going through a dead period. It happens to many new vapers. There are some techniques that may help like vaping strong cinnamon, smelling fresh ground coffee etc. I had it for about a week early on. For most people it passes with time. Also, you should drink lots of water.

I haven't had Vaper's Tongue yet per se...but I was a pipe smoker for many many years and always kept five different flavours in my rotation as I and most others knew that if we smoked the same thing all the time we lost the taste of it though we still got the effects.

My wife is big into perfume - but she doesn't wear the same one all the time as if she does she no longer gets the benefit of it though others might; I think the same factors are at work.

Maybe worth while getting yourself some contrasting flavours to use in rotation say for example - original tobacco, lemon, coffee, menthol, caramel strawberry and then work round again. These are ideas off of the top of my head but I'm sure you could work out better ones - the main idea is to get total contrasts.

Good luck!

Been vaping my fav. ejuice Rear Diff all day and all of a sudden I can't taste it

Might try eating some saltine crackers along with drinking some water. The salt and crackers help stimulate you taste sensors.
A good tooth brushing and lightly brush tongue and inside of mouth helps.
Then could change flavors after above.

Mother nature is a wonderful thing... millions of years of evolution has done some mysterious things to us... primarily, keep us alive.. our body has the ability to turn off certain smells when constantly exposed to them. Since smell and taste are closely related, we also loose the capacity to taste too... thus VT ( vapers tounge)

What mg of nic are you vaping?
I started with 24mg on my vape pen. When I got the eleaf I started going down to about 18mg. I have juices coming in that are 16mg because I figured if I really liked a juice I would probably vape more. I plan to going down to at least 12mg and staying there for a while until I feel comfortable enough for even lower amounts. I don't subohm and stay within 4 to 8 watts.

Made an error with this post. I don't mean 4 watts. I meant to say 6.

It's that morning one with coffee that I'm finding the most trouble in breaking the habit of lighting up.
I know that feeling. I had issues there as well. Don't let it bother you, is my advice. You're down to one or two a day, and this is a huge improvement. Don't count the ones you smoke as a loss. Count the ones you don't as a victory. It will come in time. The less you smoke, the more your taste buds heal. The more you can taste, the fouler it will be when you do smoke. Eventually that will get the job done; and even if not, you are way, way ahead. :)

That 'morning smoke' was absolutely the hardest one for me -- 3 days in a row, that was the only one I had all day, because I just couldn't seem to get satisfied with just vaping. But I figured out I was trying to hit it hard and fast like a cigarette, which doesn't deliver a lot of nicotine to the brain -- when I slowed it down, long slow draw, let it hang around in my mouth and throat, then inhale, then slowly exhale via the nose as much as the mouth... 10 minutes of that, and a cigarette just didn't seem so alluring, so I kept going till I finally ate breakfast... vaped afterward, same slow way... that was my first smoke-free day.

The secret of this is really to take vaping like pipe smoking - if necessary you get up a wee bit earlier, you sit down, you get your mind right, you take it easy and 10-20 minutes later bingo! - all is well. It does become a routine, it does become a welcome routine, you maybe even buy a coffee or tea maker machine to keep by the bed while you work through this ....but trust me it ends up grand. I learned all this in 1974 when in transision from 60 Seniors a day to a pipe and learned the same things YET AGAIN transitioning from a pipe to vaping. You see many many fine dawns this way...

Generally the only time I see dawn is when I haven't yet gone to bed. :D And I have no need to get up early, nor to bring any food items into the bedroom -- most days, my time is my own; I do with it as I will. The major point I was making is that the technique for really satisfying vaping is a bit different from cigarette smoking, though a) when you first start vaping, you may not be fully aware of that difference and how it can affect one's satisfaction with vaping, and b) when one first gets up, one is not often thinking consciously about anything, just following rote patterns while one's brain wakes up -- that last, I think, is what was getting in my way, because the rest of the day, I didn't have any trouble with vaping satisfying my urge to smoke -- only during that half-awake time when the brain is operating somewhat in 'auto-pilot' mode. Once I actually realized what was going on, I could correct the problem -- and the result of that correction was immediate: smoke-free starting from that day.

I did go thru a phase where I took a special "morning vape" -- high nicotine, low TH -- to bed with me, and started on that the moment my feet hit the floor in the mornings, but after a few months, it was no longer necessary; now I generally wait about 15 mins before I have my first vape, to give my asthmatic lungs a chance to do any coughing up and then settling down; when I smoked I had to wait about a half hour on that, so 15 mins is no hardship. But yeah, at first I had to power thru the morning asthma, to avoid morning cigarette cravings that might derail the whole effort.
