Hey peeps, So I recently brought my self a magma rda.

I am new to rda's and heard good reviews about the magma for mouth to lung hitters. I am running a single coil 1.5ohm organic cotton vaping around 3.5v 18mg juice 50/50.

I have tryed so many things I just dont know what to do. Its not my ejuice as I have tried ton of juice in different ratios.

I have changed my drip tip, I have bring the coil closer to the airflow and further to see if that makes any difference but still nothing.

I dont know wether its my throat immune to nicotine or something. lol

I also have this problem on some tanks, however sometime i will get a nice throat hit but it never as strong as i would like it. Its getting really frustrating any help would be great.

Hi Shaz, I know you said you've tried moving your coil up or down, but try moving it further out of the airflow and you'll have more throat hit than you can shake a Ricola cough drop at.
Just move it slightly to one side or towards the outer lip of the atty to start with and go from there. As you move it further and further away, it should get stronger and stronger.

The beauty with the Magma (as you've found) is the way it's designed means the coils are almost perfectly aligned with the air flow and this means the vape is usually smoother with less throat hit.

Just as a bit of a disclaimer, I enjoy this smoothness and I've not really tried to get a stronger throat hit from my Magma, so this is more of a "in theory" post - just for the record.

I would also suggest cranking up the voltage a bit. At 3.5 volts the vape will almost always be light and smooth. That's only about 7 watts. I use my magma anywhere between 15 and 35 watts depending on the build, liquid and my mood.

Thanks for the reply.

The problem when I move the coil to much away from the airflow is that I lose a lot of vapor and the smoke seems to be really sharp and not really a throat hit,
and if I crank up the voltage any higher than 10w it burns.

would you recommend I try a different rda and if so what one ?

If it's burning at 10 watts you don't have it wicked right. Let me go check and see if I have a build in my Magma I can show you.

What device are you using it on?

I just had a thought, you are using it with only the single coil air flow right?

EDIT - I am sorry, I don't have a build in my atty right now.

Doesn't look too bad Shaz, but I would suggest that maybe you are using a touch too much cotton. If you notice, the ends of the wick as it passes through the coil are swollen to more than the diameter of the coil itself (if that makes sense) What this does is choke the wick and stops it feeding the coil correctly. I think this is why you are getting dry hits.

Give it a try and thin them out.
