Well I caught your attention with my title, but it's true, at lest for now.
We're moving overseas in a few weeks and I want to stock up in DIY supplies in case getting juice shipped to me becomes a hassle and gets too expensive.

I'm looking to buy a few bottles of this nic 36mg Nicotine solution - 500ml and I was wondering if going higher in nic would be beneficial for me, meaning that I can dilute it more later. I usually vape anywhere between 18-24mg but I'm not dead set on anything.

Also, I saw some time ago someone posting a link to a place selling VG by the gallon with great prices, if someone remembers that and don't mind sharing that link I'd appreciate it.

One more thing, I'm sending most of everything I own in a shipping container by sea, it's gonna take 45 days at least for me to get it, so I was wondering if things not being refrigerated could affect their quality.

Where I'm going ecig is hardly known and I'm positive the government has a ban on importing supplies, so I won't know until I get there how true or how hard it is, and either way it would be too late, so I need to take as much as I can while I can.

If it were YOU leaving, and you'd have to depend on DIY .... what would you take with you ??

Let's make it funny at least :)

Thanks for the cooperation as usual folks ! :toast:

I buy the 240cc 60 mg nic all VG bottles from e-cig express. I dilute it down to tolerable levels of nic with the trusty Humco brand glycerin from Walmart, add my favorite and most appropriate flavorings and I've been a happy camper for the last 6 months or so and am still operating off that first 50 dollar bottle of 60mg nic liquid base, although I did have my second one arrive in the mail about a week ago. I make my juices anywhere from 80-90% VG and only get PG percentages from the flavorings I use (primarily FlavourArt and Lorann's).

I don't know if this was the deal that you saw, but I have a bookmark for EssentialDepot . com (not sure if I'm not supposed to post links if they're not a registered supplier?). They have 1 gal. VG + 1 gal. PG for $47, free shipping.

Also, if you like dessert type juices, I'd recommend getting some of the Capella's flavors. It's hard to go wrong with their stuff IMO (at least the ones that I've tried). There are plenty of other good flavors from other suppliers, but for me there was more initial frustration learning with them.

Id buy the 60mg VG RTS nic from highdesert ecigs for 11.99 per 120ml . Best price iv found .They also have PG . Youd need to buy more than 120ml though so maybe two bottles of each . Pick up some PG while your at it and buy a few bottles of VG from walmart and you will be set for that stuff . Then id get a bunch of different Capellas flavorings since they taste the best and the easiest to work with plus they come in 13ml bottles . Its hard to make a bad juice with them . You wouldnt need much more than that .Maybe bottles in which you can get 50 20ml for around 6.00 on ebay and syringes from drfoster online at like 20cents a syringe .

Since you said you have no time it would be wise to get capellas . Theres a much bigger learning curve and lots more bad mixes and frustration with tpa ,fa etc .

What he said ;)
I get ALL my pg/vg from Essential Depot...great stuff, service, free ship if you buy 2 gals. I've posted the link many times...do a search and you'll find it. Capellas...can't go wrong, literally.

The nic is up to 13.99 for 120 ml- still a good deal. High desert is a really good place for affordable shopping and excellent customer service. As soon as Ecigexpress has Capella's in stock again, I think they can't be beat for number of flavorings and brands they offer if your looking for diversity.

AWESOME info right there folks !

Thanks a bunch, I'll be ordering tonight so I'm pretty sure I'll get everything on time.

Do you think any of the liquids (not mixed) can go bad during overseas shipping ? It's gonna sit 45+ inside a shipping container, so it might go through temperature changes and all. I'm going to South america and is summer there, but by the time it gets there the temperature is gonna be very pleasant (end of March)

That's my only concern right now, and I might stop by again to ask a couple of questions if in doubt with my orders.

I have some flavorings, but never tried Capella's, so is there any MUST have flavor? I like fruity stuff, but honestly I'd be glad just being able to keep vaping on not cave into analogs again due to lack of supplies

Thanks AGAIN, wonderful info !

Looks good to me. I don't think you'll have a problem with anything but try to pack it with some insulation. The only thing that could be a problem are the flavorings but still I doubt it. People have tested them on dashboards of hot cars for prolonged periods and nothing happened to any of the ingredients. The worse thing would be that your nicotine could degradate a tiny bit and instead of say 60mg could be 59mg.

Which Capella flavors are you going to order? I recommend Sweet Strawberry or Strawberries and Cream, NY Cheesecake, Double Chocolate, Marshmallow, Vanilla Custard, Vanilla Cupcake, Blueberry Crumble, well they're all good. LOL Don't forget the Cotton Candy. It's used in all sweet mixes and adds fullness and sweetness.

will probably order a couple of those 6-packs, I like bubblegum, apple, BANANA is a must.
Do they have a long shelf life if stored under proper conditions?

I know this goes maybe a little further than my original questions, but I'm going to abuse of your generosity here : lets say I get 1 gallon of vg and a 120ml bottle of 100mg nic, and I mixed together, what I get is a 100% VG base of X mg which I can separate in 15ml bottles to try my mixes, does that makes sense or am I completely off on the procedure ?

You're completely off. ;) Just so we don't have to type it all out can you read this thread first? It won't all apply because your situation is different but maybe some of your questions will be answered. We're happy to help you but if we can point you in the right direction first it's often easier and may answer questions you don't even have.

Flavorings will last 6 months to a year, some last longer than others. You may be able to get them in South America or something similar. I have a friend of the family there that works for a large flavoring company as a tester so I know there are some available, you just may need to research it... unless you'll be living deep in the rain forest or something. LOL

There are a few other ingredients we often add to juice mixes. If you plan on making anything chocolate, marshmallow will add a lot of moisture, some say caramel also does. We've recently discovered that Tart & Sour from LorAnn makes the flavors pop and is a natural preservative (malic acid and citric acid). Vinegar and lemon juice is also used and that will be readily available to you so that might work out to be the best choice.

I suggest you buy your nicotine in 60mg strength. Higher is dangerous to work with and you would need safety equipment. With 60mg you still need a mask, gloves and eye protection but it won't kill you if you spill some on you...it will make you sick so get it off immediately. I use a tray with 1" sides or a baking sheet when I mix. I put everything I'm going to need on one side of the tray and as I use it I put it on the other side. That way I know what I've added if I get distracted and the tray will contain any spills.

If you're buying a gallon of PG and VG you're going to need a lot more flavorings than 12, 13mL bottles. Figure on anywhere from 10-20% flavoring depending on the strength you like your flavors. I like mine strong so I go more towards the 20% but most here don't go that high. You'll have experiments that just won't be vapeable no matter how much you want it to be, so plan on some waste.

Feel free to ask any questions you have. Hopefully you'll have internet access there and can still log on here for more help if you need it. I lived in Mexico for awhile and some things were hard to get but nothing was impossible. There are companies or individuals that specialize in importing things for expats.

Thanks for the detailed explanation.
The availability of supplies is an issue but can be worked out, the problem is the cost of that. Shipping can be a killer sometimes, and I still have to do some research about customs when I get there.

If what I find can be somewhat reasonable I can even start a side or small biz with the ecigs, the one thing know over there are the disposable ones, and still, almost unknown. They deal is that I don't really know how hard this "ban" really is, once I get to know the details I can go from there, but I'm worried now about my own usage.
