oy my week has just not been going well! I've been itchy the last few days. Now its full blow terrible hives with swollen hands. My entire body itches like crazy. I'm thinking its the new medication I'm on, been on it for a couple weeks but just upped the dose (doubled) two days ago, which is when all this started!!

Thanks :)
Just got off the phone with the doc office. They said to stop the meds take benedryl til the hives are gone, and moved my appt up to the 15th. I don't think she believed me that its from the meds but I eliminated all other possibilities. The day before this all started I was cleaning but I've taken 3 showers since then, so I shouldn't be having hives still if it was something I touched or kicked up.

Boy do I see a lawsuit! Did you speak to a Dr. or was it a nurse or maybe it was an office worker dispensing medical care...
I have a couple of medical related allergies. (I never know which med will trigger it until it does). when I start swelling up and break out in hives, I head to the energency room, before my throat closes!

I didn't even think of that I've never had a real allergic reaction except localized hives to dry cleaning stuff (when I put on something that's been dry cleaned I swell and break out)

I also have minor allergies to dust (good reason for Mike to dust...lol) and hay fever. I break out in localized hives..yucky but no biggie. But when it's meds, that can't be washed off, it just needs to work it's way out. Benedryl is what they will give you at the hospital (IV)..but they also watch to make sure it it working and to provide emergency care if you start to choke or have heart problems.
