I can't sleep if there is the slightest bit of thunder. My doxie is afraid of it, so he climbs up on my pillow beside my head and shakes and rattles! So I get vibrated awake even when a storm isn't close at all!
You know, the twister that held a record for years as the largest ever observed was actually in Massachusetts..I grew up on stories of it, as my mom saw it from her school bus that day as it headed directly at the local high school. I've had tornado dreams my entire life, and always know which direction northeast is where ever I am. I've always thought if I could just see one with my own eyes, maybe the dreams would stop.

yes I am a Chatty Cathy! You younger gals wouldn't know about her! A doll that talked when you pulled a string! What I want to know is how they found out my age? Senior? LOL
Marykay, I have actually heard of that one. My mom was telling me about the Chatty Cathy dolls. She told me the cricket doll I had when I was a kid was worse than her Chatty Cathy doll. But only probably because I was annoying HER with MY toys and it wasn't HER annoying HER mother anymore with the toys. I just realized I graduated to senior member too.
Too bad discounts don't come with that.

Thoughts not needing their own thread:
1)I live in a retirement community so I'm surrounded by the REALLY senior folks, haha. At least it helps me feel "young." It's funny though, even the ones I think of as "elderly" refer to others as the old people!!!
2) Anyone here a watcher of Jon & Kate +8? I recorded their new episodes last night and watched one of them this morning. It just breaks my heart that they've split. Whatever people may think of them for having a reality show, I've grown to love those little kids...they are so adorable and hate it the impact on them. At least J&K started out with love...unlike the OctoMom.
3) I had to go to the bank yesterday. Not thinking about it, I had my e-cig in my hand and laid it on the counter. The teller asked me if it was one of "those e-cigarettes." She was fascinated so I told her a bit about it and told her about the forum.
