They rescheduled me for noon. Going for MRI. Going to a specialist. Likely is a tumor, and likely is growing.
Growing = cancer. I'm still not worried. No answers for certain yet. And I still can't change what is. No sense worrying.

Worrying or not I am sending prayers for you :)

Skeeter I'm pretty sure its not shingles because I've seen them before and they don't really resemble those, it seems to be just a bad case of long term hives :(
Well that is good to know that it is NOT Shingles :) At least that is ruled out, yeah???? I hear that Shingles are miserable :)
God Bless Rain, many prayers for you :)

OK i'm back. Got a pill that i have to take for 6 weeks-12 weeks and a corticosteroid cream to put on, they think it may be fungal which kinda makes sense cuz it started just after I rearranged my room and moved a chair... and i may have gotten a cut doing that so its possible. So I have to suffer for a bit til it goes away tho the steroid cream is helping a little bit.

Rain, hope the new meds help get you well quick. ((hugs)).

Fun, both of my daughters are having the same problems with their youngest in school. Seems to happen until the Holiday break, then after it gets better. Hope it calms down for your daughter, you, and the teacher. ((hugs)). I myself would never have the patience to be a teacher. Not only is it a classroom full of kids, it's dealing with parents too.

So my daughter's teacher called me again. 5 weeks into school and the problems start again. Behavior problems, not paying attention, blah blah blah... She's only 6. I want to cry.

my son started that stuff when he was about 4 or 5, I've worked very hard to handle it for years but as work got harder in school and he's been diagnosed by a couple neurologists as ADHD coupled with his problems post chemo and put him on some medication. stay strong hun ((hug))

Thanks yall. I know they will probably end up diagnosing her with ADHD, based on her behavior and the genetic component (yep me). It just kills me inside when she gets in trouble, like I failed. Today was crawling on the bathroom floor looking at other students :(

her behavior didn't get better last year, but worse. her regular teacher was awesome though. she just said she was really intelligent and probably bored. said she was one of the smartest kids she's ever had in her 30 years of teaching. (sounds familiar.. I ended up in the gifted program in school, which is why I'm taking her to a shrink who does ADHD AND intelligence evaluation). here's hoping

she may be bored, I know I got bored in school and my youngest definitely is. See if the teacher will give her some more work harder work or extra work to do to help keep her mind active and help perhaps curb the behaviors. Also talk to them about giving her a fidget ball to have so if she feels antsy she can play with it. My son has a few different things he can use, including bands on his desk legs that he can put his feet on and stretch out during class.

rain......hoping the meds get rid of those nasty hives!!!

Fun.....is she like that at home? If not then she probably is very bored and needs more work. Just please be careful if the doctor wants to put her on meds for the ADHD. Research everything!! My son was diagnosed in the 6th grade and we just went with what they said he needed, I wish we wouldn't have. Just didn't know any better at the time.

fudgey.. yes and no. she is attached to her brother. her social skills are like nil. she's not slow or anything just doesn't know how to relate to kids her age, because her older brother is her twin essentially at home... they are inseparable. he's 20 mos older than she is. they are starting a small groups program at her school where for an hour once a week the kids meet in small groups. the intent being to enable higher social and emotional functioning. Yeah I definitely signed that permission slip. I do believe she is bored at school and unable to communicate socially - when asked why she acts up, she always says "i don't know". She has always been a little less articulate, but man can she blow your socks off with her random intelligence.

I love her. She's my baby. She's my mini me. And she has a huge artistic ability too. I want to put her in an arts school, but how does one afford that?

yeah I'm on the nutrionist track because of my own food and health issues. def on top of that. also, they put me on ritalin as a child and I'll be damned if they do that to my child :D

If I had to do it over again......no Ritalin!!!

Sounds like you are doing everything you can to help her out. My son still has problems socializing, wish there would have been a class like that to put him in. She will just require extra attention in school, hope her teacher this year will do that!!

Hope the meds work- but don't forget about the stress component. Keep working on de-stressing, it can only help.

Glad you're looking at intelligence and ADHD. I'm really glad you're looking at options besides medication. Keeping her interested and busy should help, wonder if there's a way to find help with her social skills too.
