funnyfarm, i do think the left beastie might be part huskey- and the fact that he looks a bit like yours makes it even more likely.

Catmom- i hope they miss your cable!

Keyzy- that is the best blog yet! I'm a bit behind you in ECF age, but i remember some of it (started reading ECF on Oct 09)

Today i got to fight city hall. Got a text at 8am from a friend telling me that an amended no smoking ordinance was on today's city council agenda. I'd been to the first public hearing and spoke, asking that they remove e-cigs from the ordinance. It looked hopeful..but then when i saw the new version that was posted yesterday evening, e-cigs were still in it. ARGh! so...i called, verified and hightailed my rear end to the council meeting. A couple of bar owners and me asked that e-cigs be removed...and the city council listened!!!!! Some had done their own homework, and others actually listened. They removed e-cigs from the definition of smoking! WooHoo!

so, if you have a chance to go speak- do it. if you have a chance to write a letter, do it....it turns out that sometimes they listen. lots of great information at CASAA - The Consumer Advocates for Smoke-free Alternatives Association

CES, YOU GO, GIRL!!! We're in an unincorporated rural area -- county regs only -- but you better believe I'll be there if I hear of sumpn going on in the county seat (which is where we do all out shopping, docs, etc).

An update -- I posted on my Swiffer warning, but realized everybody's probly done with that (moderators, far as I'm concerned it can be deleted?), so... MRI results show LOTS of ligament damage to my knee, so waiting for an appt. with a knee specialist and I'll hafta have surgery. My only concern, since almost NOTHING hurts me (HIGH pain tolerance) is whether the hospital will let me vape!! I'll just hafta stealth vape if they don't cause no WAY I can lay up in a hospital bed without it!! I am NOT good at doing nothing, so I'm eager to have the surgery so I can get over this -- if I disappear from the face of the earth, y'all, it's cause I got thrown in jail for beating someone to death with these crutches out of pure frustration!!  Good knews is, one of the family cemeteries is near here and my sis and Mom are gonna "do the cemeteries" this week and bring me a wheelchair and Mom's laptop she doesn't use, so I'll at least have a 'puter while I'm stuck in the horsepital! And the wheelchair allows me to carry stuff, so poor exhausted hubby doesn't have to do every single, minute, tiny thing for me, God Bless Him!!

Good morning ladies :)

thanks for the update Donna. Glad that you'll have communications in the hospital...and the wheelchair is a great idea for getting around when they take away your crutches as dangerous weapons

Good point, CES! I bet I need to register them as "deadly weapons"! Anybody know if that's county or state?

CES, you are great! Thank you for your perseverance! Congrats on the win.

funnyfarm, if you're having general anesthesia, you might want tell your doctor about vaping if you haven'y already. Mine asked me to not vape the day before surgery because of the effect nicotine has on blood vessels and heart rate. Yours may have different advice but it's best to be safe and ask.... I'm so sorry about the knee damage! I hope you get it sorted soon and I'll be cheering on your recovery!

Another "yay!" for Wednesday and half-way through the work week! I took the afternoon off to take my granddaughter to the dentist - another visit with no cavities yet - a miracle considering the problems we have getting her to brush her teeth :) Now we're home watching a "Barbie - Twelve Dancing Princesses" DVD. It has some great background music - not so great on the dialog
