Only prob, backing this thing is like learning to back a trailer -- sooooo different from just backing a car or scooting back a chair on casters! It's getting where cats and dogs SCATTER when they see me coming! lol

Okay, this is a question for all you computer whizzes! I'm having trouble on the forum (all subs) with it being reeeeeally slow -- like back in dial-up days, and I'm not having probs at other sites. Someone on the forum recommended to me a while back that I get rid of Explorer -- could that be the problem? If yes, what should I get instead. I'm on a desktop with Windows 7. If no, any ideas what the prob is? Thanks!

I use Firefox. I will say it's not as slow as dial up but it still is pokey.

Hi JJ! My son & family all use Firefox and it seems to be quite quick, even on laptops, but this is only happening to me on the ecigforum, no place else, so there's some connection. So I'm trying to find out of the forum and explorer maybe don't like each other.

I switched to Chrome and it helped.My son did it for me,lol.

...ECF will refresh a bit slower than other sites you are on...it's HUGE !!

I got changed over to FireFox and it really does help.

I like FF even though it took a little while to get use to.

i use firefox and chrome. If FF is slow, then i use chrome. The lag is worse on long/large threads...and sometimes early in the morning.

I use Safari on a Mac laptop or on my iPad. There are different times that it seems very slow, but as it varies and usually doesn't stay that way for long, I think it is partly due to the traffic in the forum, and the size of different threads. However, I think that Firefox or chrome is likely to have quicker response than IE (explorer) but that may also depend on how recent of a version of IE you are using.

I use Chrome also. Once in a while ECF will be slow, but very rarely. I think when it is slow, it's slow for everyone across the board, because I always see others posting about how slow it is. As Classy said, ECF is HUGE. But who cares? It's worth the wait

Hey, y'all, thanks for all the input. I'll check with my son who uses Firefox and tracks all the latest and greatest on computers (he's the family "computer nerd" lol) and try something new -- I'm just having too much trouble. Good to know some of it is just the size of ECF. I agree, Catmom, it's worth the wait!
