Okay, this is a question for all you computer whizzes! I'm having trouble on the forum (all subs) with it being reeeeeally slow -- like back in dial-up days, and I'm not having probs at other sites. Someone on the forum recommended to me a while back that I get rid of Explorer -- could that be the problem? If yes, what should I get instead. I'm on a desktop with Windows 7. If no, any ideas what the prob is? Thanks!

I use Firefox. I will say it's not as slow as dial up but it still is pokey.

I use Safari on a Mac laptop or on my iPad. There are different times that it seems very slow, but as it varies and usually doesn't stay that way for long, I think it is partly due to the traffic in the forum, and the size of different threads. However, I think that Firefox or chrome is likely to have quicker response than IE (explorer) but that may also depend on how recent of a version of IE you are using.

Hey, y'all, thanks for all the input. I'll check with my son who uses Firefox and tracks all the latest and greatest on computers (he's the family "computer nerd" lol) and try something new -- I'm just having too much trouble. Good to know some of it is just the size of ECF. I agree, Catmom, it's worth the wait! :)
