Some days were the longest I'd ever felt in my life (you know the no nap, colicky kind of days) but the YEARS?....ZOOMMM!!! Amazing. They sang You Raise me up by Josh Groban, is was so sweet. :)

I NEVER shopped with my daughter! Hubby took her. All I heard was Mmmmooooommmm or Whatever! I was so happy when she out grew her teens..we are now best of friends.
However we loved going places together, she was funny and sweet as long as clothes, shoes, makeup or jewelry were not involved.

My daughter would just get mad and clam up....that's when I knew it was time to leave. When she turned 16 I gave her the money and dropped her off at the mall and she had to produce the receipts...LOL

Actually, she's pretty easy to shop with...if she doesn't like it, she'll say so, whereas my other two daughters would say, "Love it Mom!!" --I'd buy it, it would get home, go into a dresser drawer and I'd never see it again!! What a waste of money!

My kids did that when they were younger!!

All the school performances I'm I crying fool! Some classes even do sign language to go along with it and it's just so beautiful. Of course I'm biased, all moms think their kid is special, but J has this amazing relationship w/the Lord. She just talks to him, recites scripture(stuff she learns in school, not anything I'm drilling her on) , tells stories, inquires...It astounds me. Last week she had a kick to sing Were You There (when they crucified my Lord) - I think I got it on video...It's like she grabs my heart and squeezes it with her voice.... She loves to sing, always making up songs and singing around the house...She's my lil' angel..:)
Thanks for letting me mama-brag.

Well, never be shy about crying with pride and joy for your children. I could tell by your face in the picture you posted that you were very happy that day with her. It wasn't just your mouth that was smiling, it was your whole face.

Then your daughter must go to a private Christian school, right? I agree that it's good to have a close personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ like your daughter has. We're living in troubled times. You're a good mother, atchung.

ok so heres the pics of the forge. we made it our selves, saved us tonnes of money instead of buying one from a company. plus its a coal forge and we can get it hot enough to melt steel :) now we just need to get some moulds :D

i have more pictures if you want me to show you some more. chainmail jewelry made from anodized aluminum, i also have titanium. the bottom knife is spring steel with antler handle, and the top one is spring steel with rose wood handle, very much a women's knife. we are planning on making hinges, wrought iron work, medieval supplies and a few other bits and pieces. also making medieval weaponry for re-enactment, but also household item for everyday use.
