Classwife: You were right about my egos being knockoffs. I got my ego booster yesterday and it worked great on it so I thought maybe we were wrong about it not being a genuine ego. I talked to the guy that designed them and he suggested I test the voltage, which I did and the ego voltage at full charge was 3.7 - 4.0 so that means you were right, it's a Riva knockoff. He said that I could still use it on my ego but it will probably reduce the battery life. Since I have 2 and they don't perform as well as my Riva's, I'm going to continue to use it on one of them and see how long it lasts.

Everything I read about the booster said it wouldn't work on a Riva but I had to try it anyway. It worked fine for a couple puffs and I was starting to get real excited but then it start to get VERY hot and continued to sizzle even after I released the button. The booster & carto were too hot to touch. :(. I quickly disassembled the whole thing, protecting my fingers with my shirt and let it cool and there was no damage, just another lesson learned.

I haven't receive the genuine 1000 mah batt that I ordered yet but I'm using it on my ego PT and I'm really lovin it. Way better flavor at the higher setting and better TH and the cloud of vapor whites out my PC screen. Gotta love that!

Now don't you dare say 'I told you so' or get a big head over this. :p

I'll be leaving the house about 8:30 or 9am - getting a ride in since I'm driving a van load of stuff down. We'll load the equipment and stuff into a 24 ft truck and the van and hopefully get on the road around lunch time. It's about a 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive. (aren't you glad you asked)

Gonna spend the evening with my beasties :)

Now that is a scarey overload reaction !!

While we are on (sort of ) equipment safety...you aren't using the PT on your computer are you ? Even tho you "can" doesn't mean you "should".....get a wall wart....and protect your computer....they have been known to fry 'puters....
