The kicker for me...having my own stained glass business....dang....those formulas came in handy for buying glass and pricing out a window !!

ohmagosh...I really did have a use for that stuff !!!

I actually never thought about it before, but in buying supplies, making, and pricing my jewelry and keychains to sell, was I doing algebra? I saw formulas in there for doing this kind of stuff, but never even thought about the fact that I used similar logic to price my items. Interesting...

Maybe I should go back and look at those formulas again :p

Actually, there's so much involved in mixing items together and using various amounts of different things that I got a headache trying to figure out how much to charge, so I just winged it lol. I figure that I don't care if I turn a profit, I just want to keep my hobby going!

Yeah I just saw that  lol

I spent a few days going through each and every one and saving the recipes that sounded like something that I might like; took forever!

Come to think of it, I also did Algebra when converting those recipes, so I guess I lied before, I use algebra all the time! :p

Oooooh, this was my 100th post! :D

Oh no, it's Friday :(

I like Mondays better :D

(I only work on the weekends, and all of my work in class is due on the weekends lol.)

On the positive side, I do get to wear Texas Rangers shirts and caps to work all weekend in honor of the Rangers playing in the World Series! No mens dress shirts or ties! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I wish! A Margarita sounds good right now!

BlueMargarita2.jpg

Blue Margarita Recipe

Recipe Type: Beverage & Cocktails, Strawberries
Yields: 2 to 3 servings
Prep time: 10 min

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon coarse salt
4 ounces Tequilla
2 ounces Triple Sec
2 ounces freshly-squeezed lime juice
2 ounces blue Curacaco
2 teaspoons superfine sugar
2 (1/4-inch) slices star fruit for garnish (optional)
1 lime, cut into wedges

Preparation:

Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice.

Place Tequilla, Triple Sec, lime juice, blue Curacaco, and sugar in the shaker; shake hard for 30 seconds.

Serve in Margarita Glasses with coarse salt or Margarita Salt on the rims of the glasses. Strain the Blue Margarita into the glasses. Garnish each with a slice of star fruit or a lime wedge.

NOTE: To create a salt-rimmed glass, take a lemon or lime wedge and rub the drinking surface of the glass so it is barely moist. Dip the edge of the glass into coarse or Kosher salt.

Makes 2 serving.
