I feel lazy now lol, all I did was work!

Oh, and we sold the truck! Here's what I posted on Facebook about it:

So we sold the truck yesterday for $450 to a Christian guy in his 60's (he also works in the medical field, though I don't remember what he said that he did, I was in a hurry since I was at work when I was talking to him); he was really nice on the phone, and came to see the truck while I was at work last night, so I haven't met him. Apparently he and Robert hit it off, because he wants to take Robert hunting now. He also feels like he got a really good deal, and feels like since he's an honest guy than he needs to compensate for it, so he's planning to send us $200 more in a couple of weeks!

Interesting story, the reason that he was looking for a vehicle was because he hit a deer a couple of days ago, which they let him keep, so he took the deer meat home and even brought some to us when he came to get the truck today. Robert said his car didn't really look that bad, but he also wanted a truck to take hunting. He's planning to show his son how to fix the transmission on it lol.

Things are looking up just when they were looking bleak, gotta love it!

Tell me about it, most of what I see are the non-giving/caring people, so it's nice to know that there are still some in this world.

You need more time in the PIF threads. Sure makes me feel better after encountering all the inconsiderates out there.

Yes it amazes me when I see them.....and that is really sad. I should not be amazed by that....we should see people like that all the time!!

Good morning! I have a story to tell, I guess I need some advice.

I have a crush on a friend of mine. He'll buy drinks for me occasionally, walk me home sometimes, but nothing on the regular. Last night I was at my neighborhood bar (it's the hang out spot for my crew) and this creepy person kept coming up behind me and saying I was "gorgeous."

I texted my crush and told him to come by and pretend to be my boyfriend to get this guy to leave me alone.

He came by quickly, I was singing a song for karaoke and he came up and joined me. When I was outside with some smoking friends (vaping away on my Joye!) the guy came up and asked if he was my man. My crush said yes, and the guy told he he was lucky and to hang on to me, haha.

I just can't tell if we're just friends or not, it's so confusing. I want to talk to him but I'm scared of messing everything up. I am in middle school, obviously.

I love being Dear Abby!

Dont force an advance. But the next time you feel like going out, just call and ask if he wants to join you. Feel it out and if he seems uncomfortable alone, go join up with your friends. In my experience, guys will take any opportunity offered, when given the chance. Whether it lasts or not is where they get hung up...

Groupie,
You are lucky to have such a good friend & wise to have sought his aid. He seemed very willing to play the part, not many would I think. I would always advise to follow your heart & let your crush know you are interested. I found my courage later in life & I am so grateful now! Enjoy & even if he doesn't turn out to be the love of your life you will have the opportunity to find out. :toast:

she's kidding about the age part Randa...but that middle school feeling never seems to go away when you have a crush ;)

It sounds like he is a great friend groupie. I really like Pam's advice... gives you a chance to check it out without feeling too vulnerable. Intime is right too- you don't want to let the chance slip by. Good luck !

Lol, I still feel like I'm that age sometimes too, when i get caught in the middle of these things.

I have loved my best guy friend for more than half of my life, and will love him until the day I die, but the timing was always wrong. It's like one of those stories where they spend their whole lives apart and don't get together until they're nearly at the end of their lives. I resigned myself years ago to the fact that it just isn't meant to be. Sometimes I think about it and just can't see how it would ever have worked anyway; but there's still some regret in my heart that I didn't try. I should have told him how I felt.

We "went out" when we were 14/15, and for some stupid reason that I can't even remember, I broke up with him after 2 months; but he became my best friend. Several times as we've grown and matured over the years, I've gotten mixed signals from him, but never acted on it because I was too scared. We've each been married and divorced once now, at opposite times. One of us is always single, but never at the same time lol.

So my advice is this, go for it because you may regret it if you don't. It's so much better knowing than not, but maybe test the waters in a way that won't compromise your friendship. If it doesn't work out, then back to business as usual.

The way I do it, in my silly way, is to ask them in a hypothetical way. That way i haven't compromised anything and I still have my answer. Usually using a story about another person as an opening.

Who am I kidding, I still use this technique on my husband before telling him things sometimes lol.

So who has had wisdom teeth out? How bad does it hurt. I'll be minus two by 10am.

I have had one of mine pulled, but I had plenty of room for it to come in the way it was supposed to to begin with. They didn't have to do surgery to get it out. Definitely follow the instructions for after. You do not want to get a dry socket.....OUCH!!!

I can think of about 40/11 things that are more fun..but believe me better out then in! I had 4 out at once..awake with the dentist kneeling on my lap. Then I went to my riflery exam! Pick up a little kit at the drug store in case of dry socket. It is clove oil, some packing and tweezers. be careful about vaping..air across the clot can unseat it. Eat soft food and don't use a straw to drink with. Take your meds!!!!!
