It's amazing how crazy a day can turn.

I woke up an hour late because my alarm didn't go off for some reason, only got 3 hours of sleep, but I was only supposed to get 2! What woke me up was hubby sitting on the bed to wait for me, and instead he got his ... chewed out for not waking me up! He'd been up since 5 apparently! So we ended up leaving an hour late, but I made up for it by driving like a bat out of hell lol! (Not on purpose, I've been driving a car that feels like it's going faster than it is, so I kept driving the van at what felt like the right speed, but every time I checked my speed it was 80-85!) There was some REALLY THICK fog this morning too, when we first got on the road you could only see MAYBE 20 feet. Once we got on the highway it cleared some, but it was foggy the entire 4 hour drive!

While we're driving, I start notice that the van is sputtering when we're going up hills. Oh crap, what now??? We talked some about it and hubbs called a mechanic friend, who said it's probably the fuel filter (which is getting replaced tomorrow for sure!). So we spent the whole drive just HOPING that it won't break down.

Everything was good while we were there, and we all cracked up when my dad was setting up the entire family photo, took 3 tries! First he accidentally only had the timer set at 2 seconds, and when he sat down his chair sank a little in the slightly muddy ground; and the picture had him running. Then on the second shot, my brother went to help him change it to a longer delay time, then they both ran back at once, my brother knocking the chair over while trying to get to his spot, and the camera shows my dad halfway through trying to squat in place of the chair! We're all starting to crack up now, so we get the chair righted and he starts it all over again; and when he comes back almost falls over backwards in his chair that is once again sinking in the mud! Most of the pictures are us laughing with dad looking funny, haha! I had the best view of the whole thing too, since I was right behind him!

Coolest part of my day, finding out that my dad is now a vaper and has been since January! I was following my 3 year old around at the side of the house and vaping along, when I saw him walking towards to me with what resembled a cigar, but I quickly realized was a brown Ego-T PV! He started at 24mg and is down to 5mg! I told him about DIY and how that's the only way I get juice now, and talked to him about the different PV's. He ended up with the same kind of PV that I have; guess we truly are alike lol! So I tried some of his juice and he got a kick out of my dripping lol. I was hoping to convince dad to become a vaper, and here he was one even before I was lol. Then I found out that my brother's girlfriend is a vaper too, turns out I'm surrounded by them and I didn't even know it!

So then we all get ready to leave, and we're heading home, once again just HOPING that the van will make it home. The trip was pretty uneventful other than the sputtering getting worse; the real fun came when we got home. Hubbs took the girls in while I was got all of the stuff in the van together and ready to take in, then came back to get some as I was walking to the apartment. I get to the door, unlock it only to find that it's already unlocked, but it won't open! My 3 year old locked the non-key lock! She couldn't figure out how to get it open either! So here we are locked outside the house, and I'm seriously contemplating breaking a window, while my husband tries to decide if he can ninja-scale the wall to get in one of the upstairs windows. As a last ditch effort I ask him to check the tiny kitchen window, because we forget to lock it sometimes, and I thought I might be able to squeeze through. Thank goodness it was unlocked! So I had to climb on the a/c unit, stick my upper body through, turn around and sit on the sill, and try to get my legs in without falling to the floor headfirst. Right under the window is a toaster oven with bags of flour on top, and I'm trying REALLY HARD not to cover the entire kitchen with flour and destroy my toaster oven lol. I finally managed to get in and get the door open (the lock jams sometimes, it was jammed bad, no wonder she couldn't get it open!); then called my mom to tell her the story.

After hanging up with my mom, I started emptying my pockets, and couldn't find my pv! I spent at least 30 minutes looking everywhere for it, searching the van, searching the ground where I walked with the flashlight, searching the kitchen, and checking anywhere I might have put it down. I was about to cry I swear! Noooooooooooo! Anything but the PV!!! Finally gave up and ate my cold food, then took the flashlight in the kitchen and started looking under everything! Finally I found it UNDER the toaster oven, I hadn't seen it before because it rolled almost all of the way to the front! YAY!!!!!!!! Saved! :D

So that was my uber crazy, eventful day! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Wow, that turned into a book! Lol, sorry

Welcome to my crazy life...The boys were late getting to my house last night to help with the dressing and pies. I cleaned all day and did last minute errends and was looking forward to resting..nope. This morning Shawn and I got up early to start the Turkey ..went back to bed and got up every hour to baste and glaze lovingly at the bird. Later jake make the caramel apple dip and we got the rest of the sides done. Time to take the Turkey out..Not done. Ok My son and daughter show up with thier sides and breads. Turkey STILL not done.
Then the bathroom backs up..in the shower and toilet..cleaned and plunged, and did all the stuff you have to do..except cry (I had just cleaned the stupid bathroom!)
Dying of hunger..Turkey is STILL not done. Went to CVS to use the bathroom.
Finally the turkey is done..I hope , we ate, and the water decided to go back to normal..what?
Took grandson to his dad's who lives in a sketchy part of town while he caretakes/renovates an old nursing home (empty) On the way home I was going west bound and was approching a corner that had a car on the north and south corners at the stop sign..I had the right of way. I started through and so did both of the other cars. I T-boned one and the other 2 collided. My truck bounced up in the air and dropped back..Thank goodness I wasn't going fast or we would have all died. I bumped just the top of my forehead but the seatbeat caused pain in both my shoulders and waist, my neck hurts and I am really P.O.ed. My grill was in the middle of the road my head lights are hanging from their sockets and the bumper is scraping my new front tires.
Now we get to deal with Insurance. The other two are lying to beat the band (not about me, I was the only one who had the right of way) But saying their was a 4th car who caused the wreck. I fail to see how I could have hit anyone if they both had sat at the stop sign for 2 more seconds.
But when the cop questioned me I was still shook up and I didn't say anything but what I saw. There were 6 witnesses sitting on the porch who went around to call the EMS and Police They said they saw it all. The cop came up to me after the towtrucks had pulled away and everyone else had gone and said that that there were NO witnesses and told me about the 4th car. This mess ought to be fun.
The truck may be totaled..it's 2000 Toyota.
Happy Thanksgiving..lol That's not even my worst Thanksgiving!:)
My Grandsons:
Jakes caramel apple dip! It was really good and he only got a little bit sprayed on himself and the wall..it was his first time with a blender!

Hate that you went through that MK, but at the same time I'm glad to know that I'm not alone! When it rains it pours!

(((hugs))) Hopefully it won't be too difficult! I can't believe BOTH of them failed to give you right of way. Hopefully you won't be hurting too much tomorrow, I've been in a lot of accidents (most my fault, I get distracted easily), the recovery sucks when you're injured. :(

Oh look, a butterfly...

Oh my----holiday craziness and it's just begun!

Randa, family....... ...nothing more to say!

Prettcat, you paint a vivid picture; couldn't help laughing while still sympathizing with your plight. I'm so glad glad that 1) the van made it, 2) you're able to climb through windows (I'm impressed!) and 3) you found that PV!

Mary Kay, thank goodness the accident wasn't worse! About the "4th car"......... I wouldn't worry too much: there really was a 4th car that caused an accident I was involved in. The car got away without identification. End result was as if it never existed (that car). I'm glad you had some good family time in spite of the backup. Love that apple dip - so pretty! And those photos are just beautiful!

Ours was rather quiet, pretty much just as planned. The 8K didn't even faze me; thought I'd be sore as I've been slacking lately. I had ahi tuna (my "steak") for dinner and Steve got his beloved turkey, and lots of wine with our friends.... Today I had one stop at a book store to finish my holiday shopping (all but fun little things are done) and then we went to the zoo. It gets dark so early that we were able to enjoy the lights and decorations there. Just got home, and no leftovers for dinner!

My husband thought that he could fit through the window, but he's a lot bigger than I am and I barely made it through lol! When we got back from Black Friday shopping today and he took her in the house first again, he opened the back door to make sure we could get in before he came back  That's gonna be happening for awhile!

I'm so mad at Walmart right now, their checkout system kept screwing up, so I missed out on 2 of the deals! Fortunately I was able to get one on Amazon today for only a few cents more; but I'm upset about the other one. I didn't need it per se, but it would have been nice to have and would have saved my hands some soreness and saved me some time as well! I did manage to get something that I've been trying to get for the last 2 Black Fridays though, I was able to snag it before sell out finally!

Maybe I can ask for the one I missed for Christmas lol! :p

Dreading Pam... just kidding it sounds like fun

It was a quiet thanksgiving here. No drama, no shopping. Perfect. Went to my parents storage facility and got some stuff out, and will get other decorations form the darkest parts of the attic - so I might get to do some decorating after all .

Home tomorrow evening
