That's too pretty to disturb CES!
It's Wednesday....only 2 more days til Saturday morning! My daughter likes Wednesdays at school because they have some kind of chicken patty for lunch so she calls Wednesdays "chicken patty day"

Emma, Thursday at my school was "hamburger day". 50 years later, I still remember. lol

Friday was pizza day.Did you girls get that soggy rectangular pizza at school?
Good afternoon ladies.
I remember looking forward to macaroni&cheese and lemon pudding at my grade school. My mouth waters when I think of it. In high school the cook made rolls on a certain day and they were to die for. The ala carte line was very short on those days because EVERYONE ate a plate lunch that day. Lol, I don't even remember what was served with the rolls other than gravy. High school pizza was pretty good too.
I've seen what my daughter has had to eat during her school years and it's pretty sad. All prepackaged food service kind of stuff. YUCK!

Oh man, I haven't thought about cafeteria lunches in way long! My favorite meal was the grilled cheese sandwiches. They must have smothered that bread in butter. It was soooooo good.
my favorite was the chili, served with a slice of bread and butter folded in half.
Makes you wonder who thought to put chili and pb sandwich together in the first place. Did they run out of cheese for their grilled cheese or something?
we never got PB with our chili. sigh.

i dunno about y'all, but the chili in my grade school , as much as i liked it, did not resemble anything hot or spicy
