Good morning all. Sorry I haven't been on much lately. RW just kickin my rear lately. I also found myself sitting in front of the computer too much instead of confronting things that needed to be dealt with. Such a handy little escape. Not only that, I'm putting on some pounds that I really don't need! We are having early spring weather here so I've been out and about with my dogs, working in the yard and visiting with neighbors. It's just been gorgeous! I even take my book out and read while catching some much needed vitamin D. I just LOVE spring time!

Im having issues. My 15yr old son ran away the other day.I got him to come home,I have been trying to have patience and be understanding but last night at midnight I told him to go to bed and at 1 he was gone from the house again. He has always been such a good polite kid and now he is just horrible. He keeps yelling and saying if we dont do things his way he will leave. Part of me says go for it and see how it is out there! but my Mommy side wants to keep him safe and ground his ..... I have no idea how to get control of this situation. Any ideas ladies. I sure could use some. I havent slept in days.

Of course you want to keep him safe. Part of that is just adolescence....and y'all have been under a huge amount of stress. Can you and DH sit down and work out exactly how you want to handle it? it'll take both of you working together. I wish i had some concrete suggestions, other than make sure you and DH are on the same page and are willing and able to enforce the boundaries you set.

The scary thing is he just leaves. How do I keep him from running off? I think a lot of it is just everything that has been going on with our health and our finances. We have been stressed and things have been different around here. Not so much extra for fun and stuff. I just feel sad and wish I could talk to him but he just isnt ready for that. Its the testosterone or something, lol. Im sure it will work out fine,I just hate not knowing what to do to fix it. Maybe chain him to the dresser? LOL!
