Thanks, Pat..I am a klutz so I do feel your pain! Dogs make really nice comforters, but lousy nurses! Too nosy by half! Get better:D (and let somebody else clean the stuff off the drive!

Luvs2, There was a chatroom and it will be back..right now we are moving servers. The chat was just one more thing bogging things down. We have had a bit less server down issues in the last few days since he turned it off. Once the move is made..it will be back and running! It's a very popular feature.
We have almost 6,000 current and active users! We have about 100 new people join a DAY! We will hit 20,000 total members any time now. Nobody saw this coming..this board went live in Dec. 2007!

God to hear a chat room will be back up soon- That will be cool- ya know us smokers... uhhh, vapers- Instant gratification- LOL
Well took the kids skating tonight- they all went withus and we had a ball- hadn't been skating since my daughter was about 5 (8 yrs ago) and I didn't skate then- This time I skated and WOW! it has been a long time- I used to skate all the time- could do about anything on skates- I started getting a bit of it back tonight but
I am not as limber as I used to be
I have a bum knee now among other things
The music is not as good as it used to be- I am a big R&B, Jazz, Pop, Reggae, Soft Rock fan- I even liked some of the old style rap music- This stuff tonight was... well, I am not as young as I used to be or this music was CHIT! LOL my kids knew some of the stuff- They did play "Stanky leg"- LOL & this new thing "the jerk"- I wasn't about it at all- LOL But the kids had a blast! My youngest 2 were skating on in-lines and skating circles around many of the people there- We told them if they did well in school each week, we may make a weekend trip to the skating rink or bowling alley as a reward- We all love bowling as well- We do that pretty often-
Another cool thing is - we were there for over 2 hrs before I started wanting a cig- so, I guess it could either already be working (we didn't bring the e-cig in-it's a family place ya know) OR I was having so much fun w/ my kids after so long of not being able to do more than shopping trips when I was off with them... well, it was a great night and now we are all home and relaxing before bed- I am watching Criminal Minds reruns (I haven't seen since I always missed the show) I love crime dramas-
So there - another point squeezed in about me- LOL
Criminal Minds, CSI- all of them, Num3ers, Monk (he's too funny and it's a shame this is the last season), House (wish I had his arrogant azz as a doctor), Royal Pains (a new fave), The Mentalist is pretty good also, I have others but that is another little piece about me... ok, I feel myself rambling- LOL cya guys

SudokuGal... I read your post ,, and have to say NOT.. you will be fine.. do what most woman do ,, just fake it lol...

LOL...somehow I don't think faking it has the same cardiovascular benefits.

Me well I took a tumble last night.. out playing with the dogs in the dark and fell over a left over fence roll that blew out on to the driveway during the last cold front that came through... it's gonna leave a scar but will survive being so clumsy.... Don't know which cause more trama, taking the fall or all the dogs pouncing on me to see if I was ok...:p
Aww, that's sweet of them.

nasty snow, cold drizzle , icky muddy yesterday, beautiful sunny today.. everything melted and it's still muddy but you always feel better when the sun is shining... Sitting inside on a drerry day,,,got an new audio book on learning French. I grew up around French in LA,, but never truly grasped it,, you got by with just using hand signals in many situations. Had many older French couples living in my neighborhood, as kids, we would go see if they needed any thing like yard work to be done for them. Just never knew their French was different then (France type French) to ever think I could learn it.. Now I know France type French is actually very easy and having a good time with the audio.

One of my favorite memories is seeing Mrs Ducet when I was home on leave from the military,, known her all my life and we understood each other but never really ever able to talk talk.. She was at Mrs Agnes's house when I came over to visit.. When I sat down at the table Mrs Ducet looked at me and pointed a finger and smiled at me,, and said you know, now I hear you, no mess with me, I know.. I liked to fall out of my chair in tears , she had learned english after 20 years of knowing her.. We could finally really really talk.. She was so happy to be able to say thank you for all the help when we were kids, and I told her we always knew that... It was truly a nice day.. France french is really much easier...:)

OK I just need to rant a second.....

Why do some people who join a forum suddenly think they know it all? I am so happy this person does not come to the woman's room (they are male). But they have been vaping only since Sept and feel the need to post in every single persons post whether they know what they are talking about or not. OOO and I really think a mod should make them change thier signature very ignorant towards the newbies....

Ok this rant is over...... :p

CF (((( group hug )))

Mary Kay my understanding is it is very mixed between famlies and different locations within the state,, even cajuns have a hard time understanding another ones french.. Canadian, Spanish, and French too I really never could pick anything that ever stuck on me.. My family were not cajun decent. I truly miss the food of my youth,,, miss eating something spicy that was about the flavor of heat,, and not just burning your mouth...:)

Cranky, some people need to feel important. All of us need to check the forum and correct where we can or at least PM and try to help that way. I am not one to embarass someone just to correct them, but I will follow wrong advice and give the right advice (if I know it) At least I will bump it up and ask someone else to help.
We can rail and ..... til our heart is content, it won't change those people. I ran into one yesterday on the forum that was just spouting crap. I posted my view and called it a day.
Remember to be kind, to be firm and above all don't sink to their level. It only encourages them.
That said..

Patricia, a very nice sentiment there- I wish you luck in your French dialects.

Cranky, I know just what you mean- LOL I almost think I know who it is you are talking about too- and I am new- That is bad! I havenoticed a specific person quite often posting their "opinion" as law in many posts where someone has truly needed help by someone who really knows what is going on... As Mary says... Good words of wisdom there!

Your right MK I try to help on stuff I know and I am always honest about how long I have been vaping. This person was just hitting the wrong nerve earlier seemed like every post I went to this person was there and from reading previous posts by same person I know the tone hes taking (or I think I do) was just irritating me. Walk away from the computer slowly lol

Okay, well- Today is our Anniversary- 19 years! I wasn't going to even post about it since today is a school day but, hubby decided we are going out anyway, kids can take care of things here- I still wanted to go out this weekend... We haven't been "out" in forever-
When we dated and first married we were always out dancing- I know things don't stay the way they were what with life happening and all (8-o) but I have always kept on my husband about us not going out anymore... I miss it! & our kids have been older for some time now-
I really want to go somewhere more for our age group but... they classify us now as the "oldies but goodies" crowd- LOL I didn't think we'd ever see the day- We like the current music but do still love the older stuff too- I just want to go somewhere that isn't filled w/ 20-something and teens w/ fake ID's-
Okay, enough on that- We are going to the Oyster Bar (a restaurant) and then maybe to Itz (a 4 part club/restaurant/cigar parlor/billiards) They have a cigar parlor/lounge, sports bar, Nite Club, Comedy Zone...
A little something for everyone.
Still, haven't been there other than business lunches in years-
Hmmm *(sigh)
Well, also need to get out this weeknd with my daughter and hit the other craft stores. We still have fabric to buy- She wants to make a Japanese kimono and a pajama set in the style of a cheongsam (a chinese dress)-
@ Joann's the brocade is 40% off and w/ a coupon I can get a nice price for about 5 yards of various patterned brocade- (and they have quite a selection of Asian influenced styles in) My daughter is very much into Asian culture and art- she is 13...
I am still scouring sites and reviews deciding on another unit- Now I am looking at the 901 as well as the 801- I do love my Dragon though and very anxious to get the Phoenix when it comes out. (both 401's)
Marykay, I guess you can give me some insight on the 901? I am looking for one w/ the same ease of use as my 401 and battery life about the same too.
I guess this is yet another post... LOL

I forwarded this to my email contacts and thought I'd post it here in case any of you haven't seen it. Just copy and paste.

12 OF US IN A ROOM TOGETHER

I am supposed to pick 12 women (who have touched my life) and who I
think might participate. I think that if this group of women were ever to
be in a room together, there is nothing that would be impossible. I hope I
chose the right twelve. May my hugs, love, gestures and communications remind
you how special you are. Please send this back to me.

Remember to make a wish before you read the quotation. That's all you
have to do. There is nothing attached. Just send this to twelve women
and let me know what happens on the fourth day. Try not to break this, please.

Did you make a wish yet? If you don't make a wish, it won't come true..
This is your last chance to make a wish!

Quotation:
'May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly
where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities
that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that
you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be
content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into
your bones, and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise
and love. It is there for each and every one of us.'

Now, send this to 12 women (or more) within the next 5 minutes.. And
remember to send this back. I count as 1... you'll see why.

Just a news clip topic board turned out to be a whole lot nastier then I thought it should be.. Book release about being a planned childless couple.. I think the author might of not made so many statements that life was better making the choice not to have kids and instead focused more her life was good though she choose not to have kids, it might of been recieved better. Don't think it's a bad topic for young women to read about it should be an accepted choice to have kids or not.

I think it's a choice. Some people are not "Parent" sort of people..it's a good thing to know that BEFORE you have kids!
What really irks me is when people don't have kids, by choice or because they can't, is when other people make mean/thoughtless statements or make judgements about them.
My life would have been easier without kids, it would have been harder to stay married without children (easier to walk out instead of working on things) But it would NOT have been better..just different.
The rewards of children are grandchildren..lol!
Happy Halloween!

it's a no win situation in some individuals,, you work with woman's husbands day in and day out, have some silly manidtory company pinic and you think you'll spend a relaxing day hanging out with the wives having fun for a change amongst your own kind.. Nope get the cold shoulder since you don't have kids ??? so getting the your not accepted in our group, you go hang out with their husbands who don't hang out with their wives,, and that really ticks them off even more lol lol.. can't win... hate company picnics... ... I don't understand.... I'd rather hang out in the girls club... but can't.....

Did want to mention I saw them using an e-cig during a skit on Jimmy Fallon.. Thought that was a good sign for gaining popularity and acceptance... :)
