No Voice after vaping for several months

Hi i stopped smoking in may and several months later i bought a 18mg 50/50 PGVG and after a week use i totally lost my voice and haven't had any voice at all for two months now.

I talked to two doctors no explanation and no interest to see or find out what is wrong.

I have changed to 100% VG since the harse from the PG could be the cause but it looks like it does not help since i used that for 14 days now.

So today after talking to the second doctor i just bought 80 kings and they taste me very well opposite Prince and other marks i tried earlier.

I know the supplier which caused the problem if it's what did it which i am convinced it is using Demineralized Water in there liquid so it can also be the cause, maybe they incresed above the 10% in order to earn more Seriøs forhandler af e-cigaretter - NuMedDamp.dk was the supplier so i suggest only buying liquid from suppliers you have 100% trust and never ever buying liquid with water.

Since the incident i bought all my liquid from e-Cigaret Gigant | Køb originale e-Cigaretter & modtag imorgen and for all cause avoided Copsa liquid.

Good luck to you if you have similar experience i suggest KINGS :)

No just kidding only because i know i can stop as easy as nothing and start vaping again if i choose so but i have to try it for some days to see if it helps on my troath.

If the post is deleted there will be a mirror of the post on my website

All the best and happy vaping

Hi mate,
please share a bit more.
How long did you smoke tobacco.
What device are you using to vape with?
Why do you believe that "water" is the bad ingredient in the retail juice?

Welcome and best of luck

Cheers
I
Hi i smoked since i was 13 so for 30 years between 30 and 60 cigarettes a day. I have been using a kangertech subtank mini 4.5 ml. and since i been using an ego one which was the first device i was satisfied with when started vaping.

I am not sure that it is water i just suggested it could be and the reason is that i tried using demineralized water in my own liquid and gave the same scratchy sensation in the troath as the liquid i was smoking at the time i got the troath problems.

I only been vaping since may 2015 so the problem can offcouse be caused to ignorance of changing the burner too. I did not say it was the water just that it was possible it could be.

Please read my reply above :)
Sorry, only managed to read this part so far:

Thanks for the reply....
18mg/ml in an ego one and or a STM is VERY high for the majority of folks out here.
Please try with a lower level nicotine and you may notice a decrease in irritation.
Do you MTL or straight lung inhale?

I
Not really. Common to do high Nic in an ego, even 24 and higher.

People also can get laryngitis from causes that have nothing to do with vaping. Going to a loud event and yelling too much etc, boom your done.

Not saying your issue is not vaping related, just mentioning another possibility does exist.

Could also be something else you consumed that irritated your throat. Coincidences do happen, hence the terms existence ;)

The "Ego One" is a particular device.
It comes with a 1Ω coil and a .5Ω coil ( and others now on the VT units)
It is a very efficient unit and 18mg/ml might be a bit much for most.

When I started vaping I lost my voice intermittently. Just couldn't talk at all. Never found an explanation why and for me it did go away. I'm not a doctor and eventually just chalked it up to the weird changes my body was going through from quitting smoking/vaping. I was long time heavy smoker. For me, I found I couldn't vape high VG.
Could have been that or just changes my body was going through. It is very drying. Keep hydrated and I used biotene throat spray.

Janus you're jumping to conclusions which I can understand. It's frustrating when doctors have no answer to a problem. But there's a reason they have no answer, the answer is sometimes just not there, yet. The causes for loss of voice and/or hoarseness are numerous. Ever hear of the cricoarytenoid joint? No? Well that could be a cause. Simple irritation from chronic throat clearing can do it. Acid reflux can do it. The possibilities are to many to list. Things that couldn't possibly occur to you because you've never heard of it. So try to keep an open mind and widen your search.

and it could be from vaping even though many vapers will deny vaping could cause any issues in end users... seriously not everyone can tolerate vaping, it is a whole new assault on your system and you could be sensitive to one or more ingredients in your eliquid. Many experience issues with PG or VG, flavorings(especially citrus and cinnamons), overuse, nic levels, vaping style... a sore throat, increased mucous production, dryness are commonly heard issues. It is good you are seeing a doctor to find a cause, meanwhile play around a bit with your eliquids to see what ingredients may be causing you issues that you can eliminate or change up, keep hydrated and try to take is easy on how much/often you are vaping, a lot of newer users tend to over do it at first.

I caution those who yell "fake". As we are all different and how things affect each one of us, unless you walk in the other person's shoes, you cannot know 100% if the person is lying or not.

Enough of the calling out of people. :grr:

I get that we are frustrated as the posts of the type that blame all problems on vaping seem to be coming fast and furious. We have no way of know for 100% certain that the person is intentionally trolling.

It eventually does come out but not the way some of you are going about it.

We do not treat new members looking for information this way.
