I've struggled a bit with laryngitis since i started vaping, mostly in the last 6 months or so. For me, it just kinda comes and goes, which makes me suspect that it's related to dehydration, and mucus around the vocal cords -- because I can sometimes clear it up with sufficient throat clearing, and at times when my leg cramps flare up (a very long-standing problem, related to dehydration and electrolytes -- had it years before vaping, though vaping has sometimes made it worse), and I start drinking lots and lots and lots of coconut water and plain water, the laryngitis clears up too. But if I smoked very heavily, that also made me very hoarse, so I really don't think it's strictly a vape-related problem -- many, many things can cause hoarseness and laryngitis, if they irritate (or coat) the vocal cords. Unless there is pain or fever or other signs of infection, it's not really a huge deal -- as having a headache is not a huge deal, unless it's interfering with your life in a significant way. If you're a singer or broadcaster, then it's a big deal; if not, why worry? If you're a woman, it makes you sound like Lauren Bacall. If you're a man, it makes you sound like Kiefer Sutherland.
