Is Noalox a must to make the Reo Grand work? Or is it just suggested?

No, it is not a must. Just suggested if you feel like you're getting inconsistant power flow between the firing pin and the positive battery connection. Some folks swear by it, others don't use it.

*edit....it is also good to use when cleaning the terminal and firing pin during maintenance. Again, its not necessary...just good to use on any mechanical mod. I use it on my minis but only about once a month or so.

Not a must but keeps any build up off of your connection and works wonders, a dab will do ya

I have and use noalox and I think it does help with connections - I have used it when I feel like I'm getting inconsistant or low power flow. GG forum suggests vaseline will do the same.

I rinse out my REO about once a week. I like to clean the pin and add a touch of noalox when I do.
