I believe vaping should be dis-associated from smoking.
Instead of calling them e-cigarettes we should be calling them electronic vaporizer units or EV or an EVU for short.
There are too many idiots at city hall who associate the two together under the same anti-smoking bylaws without even checking into what they really are.
So please do not call them e-cigarettes anymore.
We have to change the perspective.

injector seems to be more ominous as to where inhaler seems more medical
its all a matter of perception and what state of mind the person is in when perceived

Anyway, while I could wish for better terms for our equipment and what we do, it would seem that we are stuck with what we have, even if it is for no other reason than to not confuse the issue even further. I, myself, use the terms vaping and vape to refer to what I do and my equipment. I also prefer to use eliquid rather than juice or ejuice. My adult daughter, however, tends to use the term "smoke" or "ecig" for her hardware. Whatever you call it, even if you call it "George", it works, and is much safer than cigarettes or smoking, and that is the point that we need to get across.

Join CASAA. Respond to calls to action. Become a member on Facebook pages favorable to vaping in your state. Become a member on various vendor sites that you use on Facebook. Repost positive articles and news items about vaping. Become an advocate.

Whatever you want to call it, we must all unite and get the word out that vaping is not smoking, and is a much better and more successful alternative to other nicotine (or tobacco) replacement options.

Hi and welcome. I don't disagree, but it's too late, and they don't care anyway. They don't give a dam about safety or "the children" or any other lie they use to cover their real intentions, which are power, control, cronyism and tax money, not necessarily in that order. If you want to fight, join CASAA. If you want to be more personal about it, buy a rifle. And consider adopting the term "APV," for "advanced personal vaporizer. "
