I was prescribed with a menthol treatment once. The apparatus look like a special jug half-filled with steaming hot water. Just underneath the mouthpiece is a compartment filled with menthol crystal and I have to inhale through the mouth piece. In principal, its very similar to vaporizer. An 'inhaler' is also a suitable name.

So as I was vaping in a supermarket, a supervisor approached me saying that I was not allowed to smoke there. I explained the its not a cigarette. He demanded to know what it was. I responded, "Its an inhaler." Then he asked me why there were smoke. It was useless to explain. People were giving me strange looks but none complained that it was stinking! Some even asked why it was not smelly.

How do we educate people? None smokers should read this forum too. Vaporizer could be used as an alternative to the bulky apparatus mentioned earlier. That apparatus is dangerous should accident happen because it is filled with hot water. Need some medical experts to study pv and see that it can also to be used in medical treatment as the one I underwent.

For all the smokers out there, there still needs to be a connection. For vapers, the connection disappears slowly. Just remember back to when you were a hardcore smoker. Would you rather have gum? Patch? Inhalotor? Those things sounded as foreign to smoking as personal vaporizer does. I refer to it as an electronic cigarette to newbs, but pv to everybody else. Call it a bridge term. IDK.

I guess I'm so used to not smoking in public that I don't even think about using my PV anywhere other than outside, in my house, in my car or in my office. I think I would look twice if I saw smoke/vapor coming out of someone's mouth at a store. Smoking is frowned upon so much now that a lot of people are closet smokers. There are (were) 6 smokers in my office and only 2 of us openly do (did) it... correction, My girlfreind and I quit smoking, so now everyone thinks that No one smokes in our office, but there are still 4 others that do it when no one is looking.
