Long post, phrases in bold are my main questions in case you don't want to go through this wall of text:p

Hello ECF, I've been lurking for about a month, a post here and there, most of the time reading up on the vast amounts of information (never thought there would be so much to learn about vaping, it's overwhelming) So um, I may or may not get bashed for this, but I am a non-smoker. I tried them, I hated them. Whenever I was out with a couple of friends they'd go buy a pack and smoke it in the park or something next to me and the smell just killed me. Of course peer pressure and all that crap, they kept telling me to try it. So to just shut them up about it, I tried one, and as expected, I took a drag, threw it away and told them the exact same thing I told them before, it's awful. At work (mind you my job was at the airport so the smoking rules were as strict as they get:D) I saw a worker with a mini-battery ecig and I was puzzled by it. Researched about it and looked interesting. I don't know why, I just kept reading up on it and just decided to give it a try. I bought a v2 Standard kit from v2cigs.

Long story short, after a lot of back and forth and a couple of returns as I quickly rushed upgrading from device to device and a ton of juices, I ended up with a Provari, an Ego as backup, about 18 juices, 8 clearos and 4 dripping attys. 90% of my juices are 0 nicotine. One of my orders got delayed and I found a retail store but they didn't have 0 nic, the lowest was 6 mg. I said screw it and bought a 6ml of halo malibu. Being a non smoker, even that tiny amount of nicotine gave me a nasty throat hit and overall made the whole experience worse than I expected. Thankfully, 2 days after I got my 0 nic juices that I ordered and all went well. It's a hobby to me, and I know that long term effects are still unknown, and that so far according to the studies that have been published it seems to be fairly harmless. I always say though, that I can't imagine it being nearly as bad as analogs, not even remotely close.

I'm a tech guy I love tinkering with gadgets and whatnot, and I have a very impulsive personality when I get into something I like. (Wonder why I ended up with 18 bottles of juice? :vapor:) I'm pretty much set in terms of juice delivery systems, also the Provari is more than enough for a VV PV and the only thing I have yet to tinker with is a mech mod but that'll come in the future, no interest in sub-ohm vaping at the moment. Also I'm very happy that I got my dad to mostly quit smoking cigars. He's been a smoker for over 20 years and I bought him an Ego kit with 3 bottles of juice, specifically one that is supposed to taste like one of his favorite cigars. Since then he's barely touched analogs.

So yeah that's kind of my brief story. Now unto the questions. I just recently got my first dripping bridgeless attys and I was just blown away by the crisp clear flavor, vapor and throat hit even with 0 nic juice. I was vaping Legendary juice from Mountain Oak Vapors and it was like I had just eaten a bowl of chopped bananas covered in chocolate. Mouth watering. So I'm pretty much dripping whenever I can instead of using clearos/tanks. I bought 2 attys from Empire Mods, LR501 1.5 ohms bridgeless (the long ones) and just bought 2 more from AvidVapers (not the hh.357, most of them are out of stock), one was a sealed 1.5 ohms bridgeless cisco atty and a regular 2.5 ohms bridgeless atty. I will eventually get into RBAs, so I'll take any info. I couldn't find a lot of up-to-date info on dripping attys so if you guys could give me some tips as to where to get good quality dripping attys I'll be really thankful. :D

And lastly juices. I'm addicted to trying juices. I can't get enough of the vast amount of flavors there are. So far I've tried the following suppliers:
Halo, Mountain Oak Vapor, Virgin Vapor, Guilty Pleasures, VaporShark (local retail store), Izzyvapors (another local retail store), and just recently made 2 custom orders from GourmetVapor. Halo was excellent, and so was Mountain Oak Vapor, Virgin Vapor I only ordered a 6ml Banana Foster 100% vg and the vapor production and flavor left a lot to be desired. Even my high PG juices were throwing the same or even more vapor than that one. I'll give them another try though since they seem highly praised. Any suggestions of good juice vendors is welcome.

That's about it. Very nice joining this community, I've found its members to be quite helpful with each other and that is fairly rare these days. Even though my perspective and approach to vaping is way different than a smoker's(I consider it almost entirely a hobby), I'm very happy to see the sheer amount of people achieving to quit analogs via ecigs. Nice to meet you all, vape on! :vapor:

You might get a lot of .... from the forum, I'm not sure. Here's my spiel about nonsmokers vaping:

It's not proven to be safe. What you're inhaling with an e-cig is basically like huffing the fumes from the smoke machine at a concert, with some nicotine and flavor added. It's probably a lot safer than inhaling smoke from burning vegetation, but seriously, no one has actually done long term studies on huffing the stuff coming out of a smoke machine at a concert.

If it's vaping or smoking, for whatever social or personal reason, go with vaping.

If you're not addicted to nicotine, don't get addicted to nicotine. There's no reason to. It's a worthless drug, no one likes to inject it or consume it orally or whatever. There's a mild short term stimulant effect that fades with every use, and in larger quantities it has a mild sedative effect that could be better achieved with a hot bath. In short, it offers you nothing but addiction. So if you are going to vape because exhaling plumes of vapor is awesome and holding and sucking on a stick is enjoyable (because it is), that's understandable. But get 0 nic liquids.

Thanks for the input!

I forgot to mention, I only vape 0 nic juices. Like I said I was forced to buy 6 mg nic juice once and I hated it because of the throat hit. I didnt like it at all. So all of my juices are 0 nic. Also no intentions of taking nicotine, that would make no sense at all :p. what i love about vaping is the amount of flavors, the tinkering, the clouds of vapor and that I just find it relaxing.

It is great to see that you have not taken up smoking analogs to relax. I have been a slave to them on and off for 40 years...mostly on them until as of this spring. It helped me cut down to about half. I of course have gotten slack from some people who just thought I should have gone cold turkey. I would thought they would have been pleased that I have cut down. You just can't win with everyone. Oh well, I enjoy it and it works for me.

Yup, that's sadly the case. But it's great that you have cut down to half on analogs. I'm sure in due time you'll manage to completely quit them. But as you said, if you enjoy it and works for you, that's all that matters.

So any advices on juice vendors / good dripping attys?:vapor:

Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping :)
I'm sure some people would have negative things to say about a non-smoker vaping, but if you're vaping 0mg juices then why not!

Wonderful indeed. And yeah I'm expecting those reactions but hey, they are anything but bad. I'd rather have you warn me about why I shouldn't vape than telling me to do whatever I want. It shows a certain degree of concern in the community and that's always nice.

But yeah, exclusively vaping 0 nic juices. Having a little bit of problems with bridgeless attys atm leaking and/or getting bits of juice in my mouth. But damn the flavor is so good I'm loving it. Difference in flavor is obvious and it shows how much tanks/clearos change the flavor of juices. I compared same flavors in the attys and in a vivi nova and protank and the atty had a clean pure flavor the vivi had less pure flavor and a hint of a weird taste and so did the protank although a lot less. I didn't notice the weird tastes until I tried dripping.

That weird taste in the Protank might be machine oil or similar on the coil, I got a pretty nasty taste off my fresh heads in both the PT and my Evods so I ended up popping them apart and dry-burning, then rinsing in hot tap water, boom, no more funky taste. Could be worth a try. I also drip and haven't noticed much variation in flavor beyond the tanks muting it slightly, but definitely no unusual 'extra' taste since the dry-burns.

As far as a non-smoker starting to vape, hey, it's better than analogs, and if it's a choice between the two, as others have said, vaping is way better. I'm with you on it being a great way to tinker with stuff too, that's part of why I upgraded from cigalikes. Also a nice diet aid, got a good friend in on it as we both have oral fixations that tend to lead to us snacking more than we should..she's all over it and vaping zero-nic any time she gets the urge to snack, said it satisfies nicely. I know I'm happier vaping my cinnabons and still getting my nicotine as well.

I like ECBlend and have heard great things about Mtbaker. I have started to use Azure Vaping as they are running a special right now on 120ml for $16(shipping is $6 though on a total order)but still if ordering just one $22 is dirt cheap for 120 ml. I have tried several flavors from them so far and all are great. They use to be Blue Mist so if you can see reviews easier that way.

I also have never smoked. And I am also a tech guy. I ended up with a folder with 64 DIY flavors and at least a couple dozen pre-mixed from several different vendors. All 0 nic. When I get my work bench set up I plan on finishing up my e-juice maker. I am also looking at different delivery systems which has lead me to high power lasers.

From one non-smoking vaper to another, welcome!

I've been buying stuff through Mount Baker Vapor lately. They ship quick, prices are good, flavors are good, and with a $20+ order you can request a flavor you're curious about and get a free 15ml bottle of it. Right now they seem to be running a bit short on some of their better flavors, but hopefully they will come back soon.

The only problem I've had with MBV was on my last order. I picked up 3 15ml bottles of various flavors, and one 30ml bottle of banana. When I got my order everything was 15ml. When I contacted them about it they took care of it for me immediately. Nice folks over there. :)

Pretty much the same here. Though I first got involved with vaping trying to get my wife to quit smoking. She still smokes but now I vape. On a stressful day it is nice to go out on my breaks and calm down with a nice vape.

Thanks for the input!

The thing is, they are not brand new. I have put them through a couple of cleaning methods when changing juices (soak in vodka, dry burn, etc) But protanks do not really have that much of an extra taste, I cant really put my finger on it but maybe its just the tank muting the flavor. For all I know vaping off dripping attys is worlds apart from tanks. Yes, I love them that much and taste that much of a difference xD.

I've read all of the comments and thanks to all who suggested those juice vendors. I'll be giving them a try. There's just so many vendors and juices and not that many greens in my wallet :p. Also nice to see a couple of more non smokers vaping.

Damn nice. Unfortunately I do not have the funds to set up a big DIY flavor set, but in due time I'll probably end up getting a bunch of supplies. I'm still fairly new to vaping so I'm going with the easy route just trying different juices. I do like sites like gourmetvapor that allow you to customize your juice, and I recently checked Mount Baker Vapor and it seems awesome and also has a customize your juice option. My taste buds are greedy, so seeing the extra shot of flavor option is something I look for in a vendor. I have yet to try how it would taste (I have 2 juices from gourmetvapor on the way, one with double shot of flavor and the other one triple) some say it's nasty others say it's delicious. Also...high power lasers, damn nice xD.

Thanks for that recommendation. Mount Baker Vapor has a lot of options and overall I love all the choices you get. I'll be sure to order from them as soon as some of my juices start running out otherwise I'll end up with 20+ bottles :p.

When I was doing research on the topic a few months ago, I ran into a paper citing their testing on dogs by filling the chamber with extreme amounts of vaporized PG for weeks. I'll have to find it again.
Interesting. I've heard of PG being hazardous to dogs overtime (the PG in dog food), but it'd be interesting to find out the results of such experiment.

Check out Wizard Labs when you have some free time, you might be surprised at their prices for everything you'd need for DIY. Nic is about $10-$20 a bottle if you're not buying huge amounts, PG/VG is anywhere from $3-$10 for fairly high amounts of the stuff, and flavorings, syringes, bottles, etc are all dirt cheap for what you're getting.

I buy most of my supplies from Wizard Labs and they do have some nice prices but...I would like to buy some flavors in larger quantities. I asked for a larger size bottle of flavors and they do not carry. It's okay but a larger size would be nice. They provide 8ml size bottles. Also buy from Ecigexpress and one flavor I like the best is Turkish by Tobacco Express.

Purchased 20 - 10ml bottles of Turkish since March of this year. To me, this is some good juice. I do have a couple of problems with them. One, loose caps on the bottles. My last order came in nice and dry (not wet with leaking juice) and had tight caps! :toast:

Two, the quality of the flavoring has changed on just about every order. The first order (3/13) was a test of the Turkish (1) and my response was Wow! I really like this flavor and it is lite in color, amber or lite golden.

(6/13) 2nd order (5) Turkish the color was a little darker, same smell and taste. Dang..some of the bottles had loose caps and a little juice leaked out.

(7/13) 3rd order (4) Turkish the color was even darker (very dark) and had more loose caps! Lost around 2-4 ml of flavoring. Man this is a mess! Well, letme send em a message through the helpdesk. They were willing to replenish and they will take better care of packaging and shipping. But as for the quality of the flavoring and the color difference, something needs to change. I did ask them about it and
Response from Ecigexpress: Sometimes when flavors are mixed, different batches can turn out different colors, even if the recipe is
followed precisely. The color of liquids can also change over time, but it
will not affect the quality.

Two weeks later (7/13)
4th order (10) Turkish This was the order with all caps were tight! Oh, and each bottle was individually wrapped (small ziplock bag). Nice! But still had the same VERY DARK color. How dark? Like dark Maple Syrup color.

Sorry for the long post on this about Ecigexpress but to be honest...Ecigexpress is very good and Yes, I will continue to buy from them. Both EcigX and Wizard Labs do have great products. BUT... if Wizard labs had the same Turkish flavoring as Excigexpress, I would not buy it from Ecigexpress. Wizard Labs always sends you a small sample of a flavor and a pipette:toast: Both are fast in shipping and delivery. Purchased more from Wizard Labs both Flavors and Nicotine than any other vendor.
