Hey all,

I'm just posting to introduce myself. I'm 31/f. I have been smoking about a pack per day since 1994.

Two weeks ago, I decided to pick up a starter kit of 808's and some 18mg e-juice to give it a try. I haven't smoked an analog since July 24, 2012. It has only been 2 weeks, but it's the longest I've gone without one of those since I was a freshman in high school! Huge step.

I had a hard time resisting smoking only once while having a drink on the first weekend after switching. It took a bit of will-power, but not like when you just stop smoking cold-turkey. Since then, I haven't really had any strong urges to smoke.

I have been vaping 18mg in 808's which closely resemble real cigarettes. I love being able to vape in the car, in the house, and in the store. I love how my hands no longer smell nasty. I like knowing that I'm not inhaling the nasty burning toxic crap and lessening my chances of developing cancer. I like setting a good example for my young child who recently began asking when he could start smoking. I like not having to spend $8-$12/day for a pack of cigarettes. I like that my teeth will be whiter (started whitening) and I can get my gingivitis in check. I have lots of reasons to like vaping. I just love that there's an alternative to smoking where you still get the hand to mouth thing and the nic, but you don't stink and harm yourself. I've been wanting to quit smoking for a long time. vaping made it easy.

I tell myself that the only reason I enjoyed smoking was because I'm addicted to nic. With vaping I still get the nicotine and feel like I'm smoking. I really don't need analogs anymore.

This week I'm upgrading to something bigger. I've ordered some eGo twists and a stardust 2.0. Really excited.

Nice to meet everyone here. Really happy to be here.

Let me say congrats on your choice to quit smoking and a good choice on the ego twist a fantastic battery and deffionatly reccomended by myself a slight suggestion however look into the stardust 3.0 clearomisers the major differance being that you can actually open the unit up where as the 2.0 are closed of meaning there more difficult to clean and change flavours on the fly the atomisers are half the price ( where I buy from ) of a new clearomiser so your cost will be reduced effectively by half of replacing the 2.0 another note on the twist be careful of how much you alter the voltage the day I got mine I cranked it up to full whack ruined my clearomiser got a horrible taste and headache to boot take the increments little by little untill you find your perfect voltage congrats again :)

Congratulations! I am new here myself and have been off of cigs (non-filter) since July 3rd when I left my doctors office. I went directly from there to my local retailer; bought my stuff and moved on from there. No cheating or slipping off the wagon. If I can do it- So can you.
there is a lot of support here and that is most important!

Thank you, Fishtec. Can you tell me if these are the same Stardust clearomisers that you're talking about? They seem to be able to come apart. I'm hoping it's the same kind. Stradust 2.0 coil ego vision stardust I know it says 2.0, but it also says v3

That is so great! I just started vaping today, the goal is no more analogs starting tomorrow.

Good luck, Laina! I know you can do it. Just get rid of your analogs and vape whenever you feel the urge to smoke. I think the urge to smoke analogs goes away totally after 2 weeks. All you need is nicotine, and it's right there in the e-cig, plus it tastes better! :)

Congrats! And you know what? The hard part is just about over, you should be ending your detox soon if you haven't already.

Forkeh, I'm done with analogs. The first weekend, I wanted to smoke (on a 1-10 scale) maybe a 7, because I was having a drink. It's been 15 days now. My craving for analog when I think about them is about 2 out of 10. I'm stubborn. I keep telling myself that I've come this far, analogs are bad, and I'm not going back. I feel like my lungs have healed somewhat already. I can sing better in the car now. Voice isn't cracking, and lung capacity seems to have improved.
