the MAP tanks are 510 , but you can always get a 510 to 808 connector if you decide you want to use it with a 808 device

I actually just learned that it really doesn't matter what threading you get, as there is inevitably an adapter that can link one to the other, and if there isn't, then just use 2 adapters i.e. Boge LEO -> 510 -> KR808D-1. It may not be pretty, though.

that's really the best advice. evaluate the battery, atty and threading separately. don't be shy about using adapters. some of the best results come from surprising combinations. for example i hated the ce2 until i tried 510 thread on an 808 battery.

I swear, Spaceballsrules, I didn't pay them to say that. lol If you are looking for cross compatibility though, get comfirmation from the supplier that the auto 808's aren't the new sealed ones. For some reason, they don't like adapters. Here's another option for you. (and it's also 4.2v) 808 eGo Mega Dual Coil 900mAh Pass-through - Complete Kit

Like you Charlz, I've gone the 510 way and am at the moment looking for a good 808. I, as a newbie started with an Ego. Great ecig but a pain in the .... to fill the small carts, no matter how you mod them. Long lasting battery, though. I have bought tanks, Ce2 and other things for my Ego, still didn't satify me enought o stay away from the ciggies. Than I went with the Echo E when it first appeared. Again great batt life, easy to fill cartos that hold a large amount but a tasteless thing, no flavor with any kind of juice. Than I got the double coil cartos and am having trouble with them burning my throat and not wicking. I have a disposable rechargeable 808 with prefilled cartos that I got when I ordered the double coils, looks like a ciggie and for the first time I really enjoyed smoking an ecig. So I think to try to stay off the cancer sticks I need to find something like that but it not being a disposable. Than maybe I can figure out why I am having so much trouble with the Echo E.

If you want just a good cig style ecig, you want a volt from smokeless image, the signature series from vaporworks, I couls go on and on and on.........lots and lots to choose from. I still use one now and then.

You may want to check out the Echo they are 808 compatible auto battery in 650 1100 and 1300ma.
Their cartormizers hold 3ml. Just got my kit a week ago and love it.

I've been looking at the Echo too & it looks good to me.
I wish I could go back and edit the OP. Over the course of this thread, I have decided that a manual battery suits me better. I just need one that has a shut-off feature, or at least a cover for the button, so I don't misfire in my pocket.

If one of my V2s dies, I may or may not replace it, but if I do, I would probably go with a Bloog MF or Volt.

I actually broke down tonight and got an Elite 808 from Cigeasy, along with a bottle of peach e-juice, which should be interesting. :)

I am still looking at a big batt model to keep around the house, 650 mah or higher. So far, I like the VGO and the KGO.

Went from v2 808's straight to the echo, and I love it. It's a different universe! I'm only vaping for a month, and I loved the sticks, but this is like a stogie and so smooth. Love it! Mountain vapor has them with the dual coil carts off the batt. IMHO u won't be disappointed.

Do you have any single coils? A lot of people on the echo thread are saying the dual coils don't do much but burn through the juice faster. I didn't order enough spares to compare but am leaning slightly toward singles. I have more on the way and will have a better opinion by New Years

keep me "posted". When my current 280mah gives out, I may look at the elite for a smaller out and about battery rather than another thin stick style. Slightly fatter rather than slightly longer seems very good. I had a 380mah that was so long it was obnoxious. Also let me know if you try the elite clearomizers.
Will do! With the Elite cartomizer attached, it looks to be too big to fit comfortably in my pocket, but with a standard KR808 carto, it looks to be just right.
I almost added the Elite clear'n'easy tanks to my cart, but decided against it at the last second.

It looks like you are about 20 minutes away from me. Do you have any local dealers that you would recommend?

I looked at the Echo, but the manual battery is very hard to find. Otherwise, I would probably have grabbed a starter kit. Oh well.

it's a design I haven't tried. They are slightly wider because they are made for the elite. Maybe because they are wider they may not look as silly on a fat bat like my echo as typical clears but need more info. Clears usually start off great but are prone to leaking and juice in the mouth. Wanted to see how happy someone is after a week with these things

I disagree, they are simple to find! My fave store for echo gear is mountain vapor. Dennis will hook u right up. It is the echo-e. u may change your tune if u try the echo auto. It is so responsive it's like a fine lover! I'm loving my echo as it can rock the ce2's I've grown quite fond of. Specially now that I know how to mod them to perfection w no leakage.

I am actually looking at the KR808-DM1 ClearoCartos from nHaler instead. A little cheaper, and they seem to have the same size as the CigEasy clear carts. I am just waiting for the KR808D-1 Jumbo LR Cartomizers (2.3-2.6 Ohm) to come back in stock before I place the order. I am just going to try a whole bunch of cartos and zero in on which ones I like, as well as experiment with different ohm ratings and sizes.

Also the echo is weighted so well that my husband can put it in his pants pocket without an issue. Sorry, just loving them. I'm certain u would too!

OK OK! The Echo is nice. :p
Is the Echo-E available? I don't see it on Mountain Vapor's site.
Like a fine lover...that's a great way of putting it!

Bill @ D&B Gold has both echos and echo-es available. He's a registered supplier. I only bring it up because you asked. There are also places like Health Cabin that refers to the echo-e as simply the echo. It can be confusing you have to look for thread type in the description. How soon till your elite arrives?

I checked out D&B Gold's site, and they didn't have any listed. I guess I could always just PM Bill here or on his website to see if he has or will have the manual Echo-E, or even the auto Echo, since arthistorygirl speaks so highly of it.

I just received an email from Cigeasy saying that my Elite shipped out today. It should arrive by the weekend.

Bill's a newer supplier so he does not have a cart on his website. Here's the page HSECHO AND HSECHO-e KITS - D&B Gold

You basically fill in the order form with what you want and he emails you an invoice and a secure way to pay. PMing him works too. He sells the stealth echo too, which has gotten rave reviews.

Yeah, I have seen his threads in the suppliers section. Seems simple enough.

Thanks Charlz for the suggestions on a stick ecig. I am leaning toward a Volt. My experience with the Echo E. Love the simplicity of them. Easy to fill, less mess, no leakage, awesome batts that last forever it seems but the single coil for me no taste with any liquid, strength or brand I used. Great vapor and smooth TH/exhale but with diluting the taste in the liquids it left me bored an wanting a stinkie even more than an Ego did. I got the dual coils when they cam out on the market. Booming vapor with hard TH, great taste of any liquid I use but only when it wicked right which was maybe once in awhile after i dry hit it several times in a row, even after I would top off I only got a very few good hits. It left my throat so rare, worse than hitting a dry cart/atomizer on an Ego. I did this for 3 days before I just totally gave it up. That is when I started vaping my disposable rechargable 808 stick I had purchased in the same order with the dual coils. Which made me decide that I need to research and buy a 808 with prefilled cartos. I also have been wondering about the Echo. Since it is an 808 if the taste factor of the liquids is any good or going to behave in that department like the Echo E. Do you have experience with the Echo E or the Echo?
