Noob battery question

Hi everyone, new member here. First of all, thanks to everyone here who take the time to help out fellow vapers. You guys are awesome!

So I have a noob question.

I bought a Cloupor T5 and Cana Modz 30W recently. I was wondering whether the Panasonic NCR 18650 batteries will work on them? I've seen these batteries have different grades or classes, like NCR 18650A, NCR 18650B, and so on.

I got mine from deal extreme (they haven't arrived yet) and the pictures on the site don't show the grades/classes. It just says "NCR 18650" on the body of the battery.

I vape at 8-11 watts and use Aerotanks and Russian 91 closes at 1-1.5 ohms.

Will these batteries work on both T5 and CanaModz?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks folks!

As long as they have built in PTC and a heat resistant insulation layer they should be OK. However, Panasonics tend to not score out as well on drain tests. They usually fall out around 3.2v or so, and above 1800 mAh of drain.

Or were you asking about the series size?

EDIT

Good find, Grundy :) Wish I had seen that before I posted, so as to not be redundant.

Sounds like you dropped some serious money on a couple of mods, but went bargin basement for the batteries. For any high powered application in vaping you want the highest rated amperage (30 amp are nice) in an IMR battery, from a reputable vendor so the possibility of counterfeit batteries is not a concern.

Here's a link that explains why you want a high drain battery....https://provape.zendesk.com/entries/22338247-Can-I-Use-this-IC-Protected-Battery-in-My-ProVari-

And a blog entry that has further information and battery suggestions....http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...-9-battery-basics-mods-imr-protected-icr.html

For vendors RTD Vapor, Orbtronics, Lighthound are well respected. Vape safe, and congrats on your new mods.

Stosh makes good points - and I would like to point out something else, in that same vien.

Most of what people call "V Drop" can be attributed to battery sag. As a general guide, the cheaper the battery, the more it will heat, which leads to higher internal resistance during discharge, which then leads to even more heat, which then leads to - well you get it.

The wheels on the bus go round and round...
